⚾️ Rangers Need One More Win
Has the magic dried up in the Arizona desert? The Diamondbacks have their backs against the wall with Game 5 of the World Series going down tonight — can the Rangers stay undefeated on the road to capture their first ever World Series title? One more win is all they need 🧢 (2 min read)
World Series Game 5
Who says baseball is a summer sport? It may be sweater weather outside, but it doesn’t get much better than three straight nights with World Series action. And after yesterday’s Halloween game, things are starting to get awfully spooky for the Diamondbacks 👀
It was actually the Rangers who got the first dose of Halloween horror; just before first pitch, it was announced that two of their biggest stars would miss the rest of the series 😬
Breaking: Adolis García and Max Scherzer have been removed from the Texas Rangers’ roster due to injuries and are out for the remainder of the World Series, the team announced Tuesday.

The ALCS MVP, Garcia finishes his first postseason run with a .323 average, eight home runs and 22 RBIs, and the 3x Cy Young winner Scherzer tossed three scoreless innings in the Rangers’ Game 3 victory. So losing both of them is a pretty big deal if the series continues much longer…but if the team is rattled by the injuries, they certainly didn’t show it last night 😤
It didn’t take long for Game 4 in Arizona to get out of hand, as the Rangers hopped out to an early 10-0 lead thanks to five runs in the second inning, then five more in the third
I am blown away that these guys got the news they did today regarding Adolis and Scherzer and have come out and responded with two five run innings already. And with Jankowski playing a significant role in both of them. Absolutely amazing!

The Diamondbacks made it respectable with a late rally, but Texas went on to win 11-7, thanks in large part to the offensive exploits of their double-play duo. Shortstop Corey Seager smacked his third homer of the series, while second baseman Marcus Semien blasted one himself as part of a five RBI night 💪

The Rangers are now just a win away from immortality, and with Game 5 going down at Chase Field tonight, they have the chance to cap off one of the most uniquely dominant title runs ever 😳
Road @Rangers!
With their 10th consecutive win, Texas now has the longest road win streak in #postseason history!

But the underdog Diamondbacks keep proving the doubters wrong, and they showed in the NLCS that you can’t count em out until the series is over. If the Rangers plan on hoisting the Commissioner’s Trophy for the first time in franchise history tonight, they’ll have to get the better of one of the best pitchers in the league…again
In a rematch of Game 1’s thrilling 6-5 extra-inning win by Texas, Zac Gallen will take the bump for the DBacks, with Nathan Eovaldi getting the start for Arizona
Gallen hasn’t had his best stuff in his first taste of the playoffs, but after a season that garnered a fair share of Cy Young consideration, he’s undoubtedly Arizona’s best shot at slowing down the potent Texas offense. But that’ll be easier said than done…check out how the lines are shaping up for a do-or-die Game 5 👇

Trivia Question: The Rangers were a strike away from a World Series win in 2011; which player spoiled it with a two-run game-tying triple?
For My Parlay Gurus
Just to reiterate — the Rangers have played 10 games on the road this postseason, and they’ve won all 10 of ‘em. I’m not going to be the guy to bet on that changing…here’s hoping for some champagne showers tonight 👇
