Of the 15 Week 1 games in the books, only four betting favorites covered spread 👇 (3 minute read)

NFL Week 1 Review
With our first NFL Sunday in the books, I hope your account is in the green and your fantasy lineup out performed mine. Let’s recap yesterday
The NFC West looks a lot different than the NFC North…
NFC West: 4-0 (Seahawks, Cardinals, Rams, 49ers)
NFC North: 0-4 (Packers, Bears, Vikings, Lions)
Of the 15 Week 1 games in the books, only four betting favorites covered spread
The Seahawks covered -3 on the road vs the Colts
The Panthers covered -4 at home vs the Jets
The Broncos covered -3 on the road vs the Giants
The Rams covered -9 at home vs the Bears
With two minutes left in the game, the 49ers had a 99% chance of covering their -9.5 spread, but then the Lions went crazy
49ers were up 41-17 at the two minute warning
Lions scored and converted the two-pt conversion, 41-25
Lions recovered the onside kick
Lions scored and converted the two-pt conversion, 41-33
49ers fumbled, Lions couldn’t score but finished with the backdoor cover
The Cardinals destroyed the Titans on the road, winning 38-13. Kyler Murray had five total TDs, and Derrick Henry was held to 58 rushing yards. Anyone who bet the under enjoyed the second half
The total o/u closed at 54 pts
51 pts were scored through three quarters
0 pts were scored in the fourth, under ✅
Cardinals won 38-13
The Saints opened up as 2.5 pt home favorites vs the Packers. However, the game was moved to a neutral site (game was played in Jacksonville), which swung the line all the way to Packers -4
The Saints won 38-3
Rodgers had 133 total yards and 2 INTs. This was the worst opening day loss of his career
Winston only threw for 148 yards, but still managed 5 TDs
Best hit of the day? Someone took a Points Bet that paid out $200 for every point the Eagles won by. Philly won by 26 and were +2.5 pts, so the bettor took home $5,700 🤑

Medvedev Denies Djokovic
Daniil Medvedev upset Djokovic in yesterday’s US Open Finals, denying Novak of his Calendar Slam
In his third finals, Medvedev finally secured his first Major title
He beat Djokovic 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 in a match he dominated from the start
Djokovic opened the tournament as a heavy favorite, with Medvedev owning the second best odds
Djokovic: -160 odds to win it all at the beginning of the tournament
Medvedev: +500
However, Medvedev entered Sunday’s match having only dropped one set the entire tournament, while Djokovic had lost five sets in his previous four matches. Medvedev was still an underdog, but the line was closer expected based on the recent play from both finalists
Djokovic: -270
Medvedev: +230
While it was heartbreaking watching Djokovic shed tears after the loss, you have to be happy for Medvedev. He earned it ✊
