🏈 Who Needs This Win More?
Week 2 of the NFL season kicks off with two of last season's elite teams. The Eagles struggled vs. the Pats, but pulled out the W, while the Vikings fell to the Baker Mayfield led Bucs. The question is, who needs this win more? 🤔 (2 min read)

Something To Prove
The inaugural week of the 2023 NFL season is in the books, closing with an emotional and highly costly win for the New York Jets. At least Aaron Rodgers’ recent IG post should give NYJ fans something to look forward to 👇
Week 2 kicks off tonight, with an exciting Thursday night battle between the reigning NFC champs and one of last season’s winningest squads. Both the Eagles and Vikings entered this season with a chip on their shoulder 👇
Philly came about as close to winning a Super Bowl as any team can without actually doing it, and is hungry to run it back all the way this time
Star QB Jalen Hurts will be looking to break an ignominious streak in the process
CRAZY STAT: The last 17 quarterbacks to lose in their Super Bowl debut have NOT made it back for a second time in their careers.
🤯🤯🤯
Can #Eagles Jalen Hurts or #Bengals Joe Burrow finally break this curse, maybe both of them👀

Minnesota, on the other hand, was deemed an incredibly fraudulent 13-4 team due to their record-breaking number of wins in one-score games, and subsequent Wild Card loss. The Vikings are clearly eager to prove that this regular season success was no fluke, and have an opportunity for a statement win in Philadelphia after laying an egg vs. Baker Mayfield and the Bucs 🏈
Vikings vs. Eagles Betting Preview (subject to change)
Spread: Eagles -6.5
Moneyline: Eagles -270, Vikings +220
Over/Under: 49.5
Slow Starts
While a win vs. the Pats cannot be considered a negative by any means, Philadelphia’s tight season-opening victory left a lot to be desired. Hurts and the offense looked far from last year’s world-beating form, making a number of sloppy mistakes. They will look to feed elite tight end Dallas Goedert this week, after Hurts failed to connect with him for a single reception in the opener 😬
Still, it speaks to the Eagles’ raised ceiling that mere victories are no longer enough to please the fanbase. This team is simply bursting with talent on both sides of the ball — one addition who shone last week was rookie DL Jalen Carter
The fact that the reigning NFC champions may have scored the top rookie in the draft is just absurd 🔥
#Eagles rookie DL Jalen Carter was everything he was advertised to be:
90.5 Passing-Rushing Grade
8 Pressures (T-1st)
1 SackHe was a dominant force in his first game.
Crazy the NFL let him fall that far in the draft, should’ve gone top 3.

The Vikings showed Philly what an actual Week 1 stinker looks like, losing to the less-than-threatening Buccaneers. A loss to Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay would be one thing, but falling to Baker Mayfield is no way to kick off a prove-it campaign. Minnesota clearly has some holes on both sides of the ball, and will rely on superstar receiver Justin Jefferson more than ever to patch over the flaws ⭐️
Jefferson is undoubtedly the league’s premiere wideout — he was voted No. 2 (behind Patrick Mahomes) by his peers in the players’ annual rankings. +110 for him to score a TD feels like a steal
Justin Jefferson…not happy

Look for JJettas to put up ungodly numbers and continue to carry the Vikings’ offense. However, the rest of the Minnesota roster will need to provide support if they have any chance of beating a far superior opponent tonight. Here’s the real question though 👇
Who needs this win more? |
Trivia Question: Jalen Hurts tied for second in rushing TDs last year with 13 — who was No. 1?
For My Parlay Gurus
While the heavy spread behind Philadelphia is warranted, I like Minnesota to bounce back after such a disappointing season opener. I think the Eagles ultimately snatch the W, but look for the Vikings to keep it under a touchdown behind a standout performance from Jefferson 👇
