Almost Halfway
Welcome to late June, where the majority of sports conversation now revolves around the Stanley Cup Finals, NBA Free agency and the draft, and baseball. The MLB season is only a couple weeks away from being halfway over...where did the time go? Here's the top storylines as we head towards the midway point 👇
As of now, it's the Yankees vs. everybody. At 50-17, they have the MLB's best record by 6 games, and they lead the AL East by a whopping 12 games 🥵
Baseball's second best team is also in New York, as the Mets lead the NL with their stellar 45-24 record
Mike Trout found his stride after returning from the IL, clubbing five homers in a series against the Mariners in Seattle to retake the MLB lead with his 1.048 OPS
Aaron Judge continues to crush baseballs for the Yankees with an MLB-best 25 homers, four more than Trout, who sits in second
Right now, Judge's Yankees have the second-best odds to win this year's World Series, behind the Dodgers 🏆
MLB World Series Odds (subject to change)
Los Angeles Dodgers: +440 (bet $100, win $440)
New York Yankees: +450
Houston Astros: +650
New York Mets: +700

Dodgers @ Reds Preview
Today's best matchup takes place in Cincinnati, where the Dodgers' biggest breakout star is taking on the Reds' own emergent gem 💎
For LA, Tony Gonsolin has been an undeniable stud, winning an MLB-leading eight games with a 1.42 ERA 🔥
His 2.56 xERA might be more representative of his true talent than his actual ERA, but that number still has him ranked in the top 10% of all major league pitchers
Toeing the slab for Cincinatti is Tyler Mahle, who enters the contest sporting a lofty 4.46 ERA. However, he's quietly turned into one of the game's top strikeout earners 🤫
At 86 punch-outs, Mahle ranks 11th in total Ks, well ahead of aces like Justin Verlander, Alek Manoah and Zack Wheeler
Dodgers vs. Reds Betting Preview (subject to change)
Spread: Dodgers -1.5
Moneyline: Dodgers -188 (bet $188, win $100), Reds +158 (bet $100, win $158)
O/U: 9.5

As Good As The Hype?
Even though the Dodgers have shown flashes of brilliance this season, there's a few road bumps starting to develop in their journey to another World Series title 👀
The Dodgers lost their superstar right fielder in Mookie Betts to the IL (cracked rib) after colliding with CF Cody Bellinger 🤕
Max Muncy came back to the lineup from his stint on the IL, but his bat hasn't. He's still rocking a putrid .597 OPS despite having a career .835 mark, and it seems like the torn UCL in his non-throwing arm might be an issue all season
Also, add in the fact that Bellinger's bat hasn't returned to All-Star status, as he's posting a .212 BA with 8 HRs
Don't get me wrong, the Dodgers are still really, really good, but they might not be quite as bulletproof as they seemed earlier in the year 😬
Trivia Question: Who holds the record for the most homers against the Dodgers all-time? (answer below)

For My Parlay Gurus
Although the Dodgers are undoubtedly the better team over the course of the season, this depleted version of them looks like a pretty even matchup against the Reds. With Cincinnati getting better-than-even odds and a run-and-a-half on the spread, I like the Reds to cover, while both teams struggle to eclipse the run total. Here's how I'm betting today's action 👇
Reds +1.5 vs. Dodgers: +100
Under 9.5 Total Runs: -115
