Title Contenders Back In Action

The start of the 2022 WNBA Playoffs is less than three weeks away, but while the season winds down, the race for postseason seeding is only heating up 🔥

Only one game separates the defending champion Chicago Sky and the Las Vegas Aces at the top of the standings, and both title hopefuls will be in action tonight. Take a look at this evening's slate 👇

  • 7PM EST: Las Vegas Aces (20-8) vs. Indiana Fever (5-25)

  • 8PM EST: New York Liberty (10-17) vs. Chicago Sky (21-7)

In case you missed it, the league's top two teams last suited up on Tuesday for the Commissioner's Cup, and the Aces emerged victorious over the current 1-seed Sky. Let's just say they celebrated accordingly 😎

The mid-season champagne showers are fun, but the Aces have their eyes on the WNBA title. Las Vegas (+180) is currently the favorite, but Chicago (+210) is not too far behind. We'll see how the rest of the season plays out, but for now, we're focused on tonight's matchups...let's dive in ⛹️‍♀️

What To Watch

While the two games tonight will pit the league's elite against a pair of squads currently outside the playoff picture, there's still plenty of reason to tune in. Here's what you need to know 👇

📍 Aces vs. Fever Betting Preview (subject to change)

  • Spread: Aces -14.5

  • Moneyline: Aces -1500 (bet $1,500, win $100), Fever +790 (bet $100, win $790)

  • O/U: 173.5

The Aces may not own the best record in the league, but their Commissioner's Cup victory cemented their status as the title favorite

  • Speaking of favorites, Vegas' star forward A'ja Wilson has officially emerged as the odds-on pick to win her second MVP award (-105)

  • Meanwhile, the Fever are the lone WNBA team currently eliminated from playoff contention, and haven't won a game since June 19th 😳

  • However, a bright spot for Indiana has been the recent play of 2022 second overall pick NaLyssa Smith, who's averaging 15.7 PPG and 8.1 RPG over the past seven contests

📍 Liberty vs. Sky Betting Preview (subject to change)

  • Spread: Sky -9.5

  • Moneyline: Sky -590, Liberty +410

  • O/U: 164.5

The Liberty may currently be on the outside looking in, but that hasn't stopped them from being a thorn in the Sky's side recently

  • The past two matchups have both been decided by one possession, with New York coming out on top 83-80 in last Saturday's showdown

  • It should come as no surprise that superstar Sabrina Ionescu was instrumental in the victory, flirting with a triple-double (17-8-9 stat line) and adding this clutch game-winning and-1 for good measure 😎

The Liberty will have their work cut out for them tonight though, as the Sky have yet to drop back-to-back regular season games this year 👀

Trivia Question: If A'ja Wilson captures her second MVP trophy this season, she'd become the third active player with multiple MVP honors. Can you name the other two? (answer below)

For My Parlay Gurus

The Fever have nothing but player development to play for at this point in the season, so I'm going with the Aces to take care of business against the league's cellar-dweller tonight. As for the other game, I'm banking on Ionescu and the Liberty to continue to battle the Sky until the final whistle. Here's my parlay 👇

  • Aces -14.5 vs. Fever: -104

  • Liberty +9.5 vs. Sky: -102

$100 on this bet would win you $288 — if we hit, make sure you email [email protected] for a chance to win up to $100*. Many will enter, only some will win 😉
