Double MNF Action

For the only time this season, Monday Night Football will feature two different matchups. More football! The Titans and Bills will square off at 7:15PM EST, followed by the Vikings and Eagles at 8:30PM EST. Sit back and enjoy 🍿

  • The first game of the evening features the current Super Bowl favorite (+500) Buffalo Bills looking to defend home field

  • Buffalo is the obvious popular pick in this one, but the visiting Tennessee Titans have a score to settle after last week's collapse...

Later on, two potential NFC contenders square up in Philly. The Eagles nearly suffered their own devastating loss last week against Detroit, but were able to hang on and secure the win. Their foe this week, the Minnesota Vikings, are coming into this one hot β€” they grabbed hold of the NFC North with a dominant season-opening victory vs. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers πŸ‘€

  • Spread: Bills -10

  • Moneyline: Bills -460 (bet $460, win $100), Titans +360 (bet $100, win $360)

  • Over/Under: 47.5

  • Spread: Eagles -2.5

  • Moneyline: Eagles -142, Vikings +120

  • Over/Under: 50.5

Who Can Top Buffalo?

The Bills sent out a statement to the rest of the league in their opening night demolition of the Rams. They walked into LA on ring night and made quick work of the defending Super Bowl champs, proving that all of the offseason hype was warranted. Buffalo looks like the most complete team in the league, and have a QB that can do this πŸ‘‡

Josh Allen's versatility as an elite rusher and thrower at the QB position powers the Bills' high octane offense. His top receiver, Stefon Diggs, has shown himself to be among the league's very best, and torched Jalen Ramsey, perhaps the NFL's best cornerback, in the opener. He was fined $10.6K for letting Ramsey hear all about it, but something tells me it was worth it to him πŸ˜‚

Meanwhile, the Titans finished as the No. 1 seed in the AFC last year, but looked like anything but in their embarrassing loss to the Giants

  • It's clear that the loss of star receiver AJ Brown (and to a lesser extent Julio Jones) has hampered their passing attack

  • Derrick Henry will need to regain his MVP-level form from years past and carry the offense in order for Tennessee to have any hope πŸ‘‘

Two NFC Contenders

Few teams have appeared more improved in this young season than the Vikings and the Eagles. Minnesota came in with a lot of hype following a disappointing finish last year and a much-needed coaching change. They hired Kevin O'Connell, who served as OC for the Rams last year, and comes from the heralded Sean McVay coaching tree 🌲

  • The Vikings are hoping that O'Connell can unlock their extremely talented offense, which has underachieved in the past

  • QB Kirk Cousins has been much-maligned over the years, but is certainly competent and possesses unreal weapons in Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen

Jefferson was garnering all kinds of praise for his otherworldly performance in Week 1, including quite the compliment from the 4-time MVP πŸ‘‡

The Eagles are in a somewhat similar situation, with a stacked roster but a QB who many consider to still be a question mark. Jalen Hurts has enjoyed some impressive games over his first two years, but his meager performance vs. Tampa Bay in last year's playoffs left a bad taste in many fans' mouths πŸ₯Ά

  • Still, the Eagles have the rough outlines of a contender β€” a promising young QB, much improved offensive weapons and a stout defense

  • The acquisition of AJ Brown spearheaded a very strong summer for Philadelphia, as they've given Hurts everything he needs to succeed

  • Vegas has Philly at fourth in title odds right now at +1300 😳

Trivia Question: Last week, Miles Sanders scored the first rushing by an Eagles RB in almost two years, where did he go to college?

For My Parlay Gurus

I'm buying Tennessee's fall-off this year, given the loss of weapons and Derrick Henry's inevitable decline...we know RBs can't be dominant forever. I like the Bills covering in an easy win, while the Vikings defeat the Eagles in a shootout between two explosive offenses. Take a look πŸ‘‡

  • Bills -10 vs. Titans: -110

  • Vikings +2.5 @ Eagles: -110
