Top-15 Battles

Week 7 of the NCAAF season is gearing up to be on of the most anticipated slates of the last few years of College Football. We have three Top-15 matchups, plus three additional Top-25 battles. We're at the halfway point of the season, so time is running out to make up for a conference loss. BCS rankings don't drop until after Week 9...still a few more Saturdays before we know what the committee is thinking 🧐

  • No. 10 Penn State vs. No. 5 Michigan - 12PM EST on FOX

  • No. 3 Alabama vs. No. 6 Tennessee - 3:30PM on CBS

  • No. 8 Oklahoma State vs. No. 13 TCU - 3:30PM on ABC

  • No. 15 NC State vs. No. 18 Syracuse - 3:30PM on ACCN

  • No. 16 Mississippi State vs. No. 22 Kentucky - 7:30PM on SECN

  • No. 7 USC vs. No. 20 Utah - 8PM on FOX

There's plenty of other storylines to highlight outside of these marquee matchups. No. 24 Illinois is back in the Top-25 after years of irrelevancy, with Bret Bielema leading the way in his first year (Wisconsin is 3-3 without him). No. 7 USC and No. 11 UCLA are the two best teams in the Pac-12...fitting considering they leave for the Big Ten in two years. Plus, your feel-good story of the week πŸ‘‡

We can't get to it all, but let's dive into a few of these matchups and see how the lines are shaping up 🀝

Game To Watch

Let's be clear, this Bama vs. Tennessee game is definitely the best of the bunch. Both are undefeated in the SEC, both have potential Heisman QBs (Young and Hooker are both +1400) and the Vols haven't beaten Bama since Saban took over in 2007. That's 15 straight wins...

They had a chance in 2009, but blew it. Since then it's been nothing but blowouts 😏

To make it even better, it'll be an "orange-out". I'm sure I've seen one before, but I can't picture it. Should be sweet 🍊

As expected, this is the most bet on game of the weekend, but likely not the way you thought...

Tennessee is a pretty big home dog, and considering Bryce Young didn't play last game, I understand why the money is on the Vols. But watch this video and tell me if think betting against Bama is a smart thing to do 🐘

  • Spread: Bama -7

  • Moneyline: Bama -285 (bet $285, win $100), Tennessee +230 (bet $100, win $230)

  • O/U: 66.5 Total Points

The Other Two Games

Outside of the SEC, we have huge Power-5 conference matchups. The Big 12 is super interesting, as Oklahoma is 0-3 in conference play, Baylor is 1-1 after being ranked in the preseason Top-10, and Kansas and TCU have seemed to come out of nowhere πŸͺ„

πŸ“ No. 8 Oklahoma State vs. No. 13 TCU

This game is going to be an absolute shootout. The O/U is at 68.5, but these are two of the five highest scoring offenses in the country...

Spencer Sanders and Max Duggan is a QB battle you've probably spent exactly zero seconds thinking about, but they have a collective 2,699 yards, 26 TDs and 3 INTs. Who stays perfect?

  • Spread: TCU -3.5

  • Moneyline: TCU -182, OK State +150

  • O/U: 68.5

πŸ“ No. 10 Penn State vs. No. 5 Michigan

I'm a Michigan fan, so you don't have to tell me how big this one is. I'm hoping it goes something like this πŸ‘‡

Outside of a bad Auburn team, Penn State hasn't beaten anyone. Not that Michigan has, but PSU is coming off of a 17-7 win at home vs. 1-5 Northwestern. The Wolverines should take care of business, and Vegas thinks so too πŸ’ͺ

  • Spread: Michigan -6.5

  • Moneyline: Michigan -265, Penn State +215

  • O/U: 50.5

Trivia question: Penn State has four solid WRs currently in the NFL, can you name them?

For My Parlay Gurus

There is so much to play in tomorrow's slate, but let's focus on some of the games above. I never bet against Alabama, especially when they are single digit favorites. Throw in Michigan at home against an overrated PSU team and I think this one might give a nice payday. Let's ride πŸ‘‡

  • Michigan -6.5 vs. Penn State: -120

  • Alabama -7 @ Tennessee: -115
