Around The Majors
With just about two full months of baseball in the books, a few former stars who struggled out of the gate have returned to their former glory (we're talking about you, Albert Pujols), while a handful of others have taken their play up another notch š¤
OF Mookie Betts has always been a top-tier stud for the Dodgers, but he's back to slugging at an MVP level for the first time since he won the AL's honor as a member of the Red Sox in 2018
SS Trevor Story was making the Red Sox look silly for signing him to a $140M contract this past winter, but has since caught fire with an epic May, blasting all nine of his homers this season since the 11th of the month
31-year-old RHP Martin Perez is having a career year out of nowhere, posting a league-leading 1.42 ERA through nine starts
Through about 50 games played per team, here's who Vegas has pegged as most likely to take home the game's most prized hardware in October š

Angels @ Yankees Preview
Tonight in the Bronx, the Angels will take on the Yankees for the second of a three-game series with the Bombers. The Yankees currently hold MLB's best record at 34-15, while the Angels have watched their AL West lead disappear to the Astros after losing six games in a row š„¶
Still, things are looking up for the Halos, as breakout slugger OF Taylor Ward has returned to the lineup after a weeklong absence
He homered and ripped a ball off the wall in his first game back, suggesting his emergence as one of the game's top hitters could be legit
Also, Shohei Ohtani has started to heat up at the plate, and almost smacked another one yesterday, but got robbed by Aaron Judge at the wall
While Mike Trout is the heart and soul of the Angels, the closest contender to his dominance plays in pinstripes. Aaron Judge has had an insane May, giving him the major league lead in homers (18) by three, while still batting over .300. At their respective paces, this game could feature the top four AL MVP candidates at season's end š
With "Nasty" Nestor Cortes on the mound for the Yankees, who balled out in his last outing, take a look at odds heading into this electric night game š
