Should The Packers R-E-L-A-X? 🧀

Hope In Green Bay?

It's been over eight years since Aaron Rodgers famously told Packers fans to R-E-L-A-X after a sluggish 1-2 start to the season in Green Bay. While this year's struggles have extended far beyond Week 3, the two-time reigning MVP is looking to orchestrate another turnaround 🧀

  • It's admittedly a long shot; at 4-6, the Packers currently have just a 12% chance of reaching the playoffs, and +2000 odds to catch the 8-1 Vikings atop the NFC North. But as Rodgers put it himself, they aren't dead just yet ⬇️

Last week's matchup against the Cowboys bordered on must-win for a Packers team in the midst of a five-game losing streak. They delivered with a thrilling 31-28 overtime victory that keeps a sliver of hope alive

  • Don't let Dallas' fourth quarter collapse and questionable late game decision-making detract from Green Bay's headlines, particularly the breakout performance of rookie wide receiver Christian Watson

  • Allen Lazard is solid, but Aaron Rodgers has struggled all season finding reliable targets to fill the Davante Adams-sized hole in this offense. Watson, their second round pick this year, showed he could finally be ready to seize a key role after 107 yards and three TDS on Sunday 😳

As is often the case, inconsistency has been an issue for the rook, but last week's monster performance could prove to be a catalyst for both him and the Packers' offense. They'll be put to the test once again tonight as a matchup against the AFC South-leading Titans awaits - here's how the lines are shaping up for the TNF showdown at Lambeau 👇

  • Spread: Packers -3

  • Moneyline: Packers -176 (bet $176, win $100), Titans +148 (bet $100, win $148)

  • Over/Under: 41

Trivia Question: Who was the last WR the Packers selected in the first round?

Let Henry Eat

The Packers have certainly had their well-documented issues in the WR room this season, but their opponent tonight may have an even more uninspiring batch of options out wide

  • Much to A.J. Brown's amusement, Tennessee's receivers have largely been invisible this season. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine's 119-yard, two-TD breakout last week is a step in the right direction, but this still ranks as the league's worst passing offense

But despite the anemic air attack, the Titans are still 6-3 with a 93% chance of reaching the postseason. A strong defense and a soft division certainly help, but it's no secret they wouldn't be where they are without their big, bruising running back 😤

It's been business as usual once again this season for Henry, who currently leads the league in carries, while ranking second in both rush yards and TDs

  • The seventh-year veteran may have struggled to find room to run in a low-scoring affair against the Broncos last week, but the rare off performance ended a streak of five straight games over the century mark

Since Week 4, the Packers have had the worst run defense in the league, with opposing teams rumbling for over 150 yards per game on the ground. Keep that in mind when checking out Henry's rush yards tonight at O/U 102.5 🔨

For My Parlay Gurus

Derrick Henry is absolutely going to get his tonight, don't get me wrong. But last week's Packers' win showed enough glimpses of vintage Rodgers' magic to lure me back in. Playoffs may still be a stretch, but I like Green Bay to at least keep the good vibes going tonight with a big win at home, despite Henry being a problem all game along. Here's the parlay I'm going with 👇

  • Packers ML vs. Titans: -176

  • Derrick Henry Over 102.5 Rush Yards: -113

Trivia Answer: The Packers haven't taken a wide receiver in the first round since 2002, when they selected Javon Walker out of FSU with the 20th overall pick. Walker had one Pro Bowl selection while in Green Bay
