The NFL's Last Undefeated Team 🦅

This week's installment of Monday Night Football features the most dominant team in the league - the Eagles. Philadelphia will be facing their division rival in Washington, whose season has been far more up-and-down 🏈 (3 min read)

Can Anyone Beat The Eagles?

Hopes were high for the Philadelphia Eagles entering this year, but I don't think anyone would have predicted this supremely dominant 8-0 start to the season. Philadelphia has been superb on both ends, currently ranking second in PPG and fourth in points allowed. While their schedule hasn't been particularly challenging, it's hard to deny the Eagles' status as the best team in the league 🦅

  • Jalen Hurts has emerged as a budding superstar — his efficient play and instant connection with A.J. Brown have sparked Philly's success

  • Brown has immediately validated the Eagles' offseason trade for him, proving to be the true No. 1 wide receiver the squad was lacking ⭐️

Philadelphia is squaring off tonight against the Washington Commanders, their division rival, who sits at the opposite end of the standings. Washington has been competitive in nearly all of their games this season, but were soundly beaten by the Eagles in their Week 3 matchup. The Commanders have looked more competent since QB Carson Wentz went down with a finger injury, as they've amassed a 2-1 record with backup Taylor Heinecke under center 👀

Monday Night Matchup

Washington's 4-5 record this season attests to its inconsistent play. The Commanders will be looking to get back on track tonight after blowing a late lead in Kirk Cousins' return to Washington last week. They'll have their work cut out for them in Philadelphia, but the Commanders have looked like an improved team of late, due to the QB shift, as well as the defense rounding into form 📈

  • The Washington D has proven to be its strongest unit, allowing no more than 21 points in each of their last five games

  • While the offense has remained far from elite, the Commanders have averaged more points and yards per game with Heinicke at QB

  • The former XFL quarterback has also shown some surprising mobility out of the pocket 🔥

The Eagles' offensive success this season can be attributed to a variety of factors, but chief among them is the impact of providing a young QB with a reliable top WR. Hurts has enjoyed a breakout campaign in his third year, showing tremendous growth as a passer to complement his elusiveness as a runner. Every facet of the Eagles offense is clicking right now 💪

  • AJ Brown is lighting it up and drawing top opposing cornerbacks has allowed DeVonta Smith to thrive as a secondary option

  • The former Heisman winner is on pace to match his production from last season, despite no longer being the featured receiver

  • Miles Sanders has provided a steady presence on the ground, but the clear engine of this attack is the stellar passing game centered around Brown 🎯

For My Parlay Gurus

The Eagles are clearly the runaway favorite in this one, but I like the Commanders to cover the very large spread. This is a team that's been keeping all of their recent games competitive behind a sturdy defense, and I like them to challenge Philly in a closer-than-expected, but inevitable Eagles win. Take a look 👇

  • Commanders +10.5 @ Eagles: -110

  • UNDER 43.5 total points: -110
