The Suns (-5.5) Are 20-5 On The Road This Season
The No. 1 team in the West will clash with the No. 2 team in the East, as the Suns take on the Bulls. With the best record in the NBA at 42-10, can anyone really stop Phoenix? ☀️ (4 minute read)
Welcome new readers! JJ Watt’s tweet pretty much sums up the NFL Pro Bowl 😅 — let’s talk Suns vs. Bulls 👇

Suns @ Bulls Preview
The Suns (42-10, No. 1 in West) and Bulls (33-20, No. 2 in East) will face off in Chicago at 8PM EST. Phoenix has won 12 of their last 13 games, while Chicago has won three of their last five
Spread: Suns -5.5
Moneyline: Suns -235 (bet $235, win $100), Bulls +180 (bet $100, win $180)
The last 10 NBA champions had LeBron, Steph, Kawhi or Giannis on their roster. However, the Suns and Bulls are making their case to change that this season
This game will feature four 2021-22 NBA All-Stars — Devin Booker, Chris Paul, DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine (missed the last two games due to injury)
With both of these teams ranking in the Top-10 in PPG this season, this should be a good one 🍿

The Valley Boyz
The Suns, who were in the Finals a year ago, find themselves in an even better position. How is that possible? Phoenix posted the franchise’s best record through 50 games of a season (41-9), and now they’re sitting alone at the top of the Western Conference 👇
Phoenix Suns: +225
Golden State Warriors: +225
Utah Jazz: +600
Los Angeles Lakers: +900
Memphis Grizzlies: +1200
Phoenix has been dominant all season, only losing back-to-back games twice. They’ve strung together two 10+ game winning streaks, and with Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton both missing games this season due to injury, it’s been 36-year-old Chris Paul keeping the team firing
CP3 has recorded 31 games with 10 or more assists this season, the most in the NBA
Over just three games in February, he’s dished out 35 dimes with only four turnovers
The only thing missing from CP3’s 17-year Hall of Fame career is a championship…
“I’m gonna fight my ass off to win this championship this year, the next year, whenever it may be…But, I ain’t gonna lie to you, I’m sure there’s guys that done won the chip that would love to flip places right now.”
- Chris Paul
With the Suns ranking third in offensive rating (112.8) and second in defensive rating (105.1), not many teams are standing in the way of CP3’s ring. Since Phoenix is 16-9 against the spread on the road, I’m riding with the Valley Boyz in the Windy City ☀️

Chi-Town Is Back
When DeMar DeRozan was acquired by the Bulls, the main question was, could he play well alongside Zach LaVine? We have our answer. This duo has flourished all season long, even becoming the first Bulls teammates to make the All-Star game since Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol back in 2016. Since LaVine has been nursing an injury, DeRozan has taken over
DeRozan since 1/15/22:
20-pt games: 6
30-pt games: 4
40-pt games: 2
However, the East is crowded at the top, so injuries could affect the Bulls in the long run
Lonzo Ball underwent surgery to repair a meniscus tear in his knee, while Alex Caruso needed surgery after suffering a broken wrist
Both players are expected to miss six to eight weeks. Their defense and playmaking ability will be missed, especially tonight against the Suns
Chicago has slipped to 20th in the NBA in defensive rating (111.1), and I don’t believe their depth will stack up with Phoenix’s strong roster
Trivia question: DeRozan is averaging 26.6 PPG this season, good for fourth best in the league. Is this DeMar’s highest scoring average of his career? (answer below)

For My Parlay Gurus
With Phoenix posting a 20-5 record on the road this season, I’m taking them against the spread in this matchup with Chicago. I’m also adding the Raptors, who are on a 5-game winning streak, to my parlay 👇
Suns -5.5 vs. the Bulls: -110
Raptors +1 vs. the Hornets: -115
$100 on this bet would win you $257 — if we hit, make sure to email [email protected] for $100*. First come, first serve 😉
Trivia answer: DeRozan’s 26.6 PPG this season is his 2nd best season average of his career. His best came in 2016, when he averaged 27.3 PPG with the Raptors
