Just a couple months ago, basically the entire state of New York was looking forward to a potential Subway Series in October, something that hasn't happened since 2000. That year, the Yankees defeated the Mets in five games, and Derek Jeter walked away as the World Series MVP 🏆

However, the two New York teams meeting in the 2022 World Series is becoming just a dream, thanks to the Yankees' second half meltdown 🤦‍♂️

• Their once 15.5 game lead in the AL East is just eight
