The Steelers (-2) Have Won 19 Straight MNF Home Games

Both Cleveland and Pittsburgh need some 2022 magic to get into the playoffs, but the big storyline tonight is Ben Roethlisberger's potential last game at Heinz Field. Storybook ending? šŸˆ (4 min read)

Final MNF Preview

When Ben Roethlisberger debuted in 2004, Baker Mayfield was in fourth grade — that’s how long Big Ben has been the face of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although it’s been an uneven 18th season, Roethlisberger will likely be making his last start at Heinz Field against a team he’s dominated for years

  • A storybook ending is still in play for Big Ben, as the Steelers (11th in AFC) are still in the playoff hunt

  • Cleveland is alive as well, but they also need to win out

  • Spread: Steelers -2

  • Moneyline: Browns +110 (bet $100, win $110), Steelers -130 (bet $130, win $100)

  • Over/under: 42

Toss Up In The AFC North

Despite the Steelers underperforming this season at 7-7-1, they do have a Week 8 upset vs. the Browns under their belt. Before that win, Cleveland had actually rattled off two straight vs. Pittsburgh — one of them being a playoff upset on the road. I like the Steelers tonight and here’s why šŸ‘‡

Monday Night Success: The Steelers are 29-10-1 all-time at home on Monday night, including 19 straight wins. They also have 53 regular-season Monday night wins overall, which is the most in NFL history

Better At Heinz Field: Pittsburgh hasn’t lost a home game since September. They’re averaging more PPG (20.1) and total Y/G (320.6) at home than on the road this season

With the Browns going 1-3 in their last four games, I think it’s reasonable to ride Big Ben and the Steelers tonight ✊

Trivia question: Big Ben needs one more win at Heinz Field to move into a tie for 3rd place all-time for most wins at a single venue, including the playoffs. Who are the three players currently ahead of him? (answer below)

Thank You, Ben

On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette thanked Big Ben on the front page. That’s the least they could do for a man who won eight division titles and brought two Super Bowls to the city. If this is it for Roethlisberger, he will retire in the Top 10 in passing yards (fifth), touchdown passes (eighth), and regular-season wins (fifth) by a quarterback

I've been so blessed to play in front of the best fans in all of sports, the best venue. What better way to have a last regular-season potential game than Monday Night Football against a division opponent. It's just special.

Ben Roethlisberger

Steeler Nation has witnessed a lot of wins over Roethlisberger’s 18-year career. He’s 92-31 during the regular-season at Heinz Field, the sixth-most wins by a QB at home. Tonight, he’ll have a chance to make it 93 against his AFC North rival

Let’s take a look at Big Ben’s passing yards prop for this emotional game šŸ‘‡

  • Over 235.5: -113

  • Under 235.5: -113

Roethlisberger has thrown for 235+ yards in eight of his fourteen games. In his last matchup vs the Browns in Week 8, he threw for 266 yards and one touchdown. The Steelers run pass plays 62.1% of the time, so Big Ben should have plenty of opportunities to sling it

For My Parlay Gurus

Since he was drafted in 2004, Roethlisberger has tormented the Browns. He has 25 wins vs. Cleveland, his most against any team in his career. I’m all for fairytale endings, and I can’t think of a better one than Roethlisberger leaving Heinz Field with a W. So, you already know, this is my Big Ben sendoff parlay

  • Steelers -2 vs. the Browns: -110

  • Ben Roethlisberger over 235.5 passing yards: -113

Throwing down $100 on this parlay would result in a $260 payout. If this hits, make sure to email [email protected] for $100*. First come, first serve šŸ’°

Trivia answer: Only Brett Favre (98), John Elway (104) and Tom Brady (135) currently have more all-time wins at a single venue than Roethlisberger’s 97
