MLB Future Bets

The men's and women's Wimbledon quarterfinals are underway this morning, including No. 1 Novak Djokovic who is the heavy tournament favorite (-240). We'll be doing a deep dive into the semifinal matchups later this week — stay tuned 🎾As for baseball, we're just two weeks away from the 2022 All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium. It's been a wild first half of the season, so let me break down some future betting favorites for you 👇MLB Future Bets (subject to change)

  • AL MVP — Aaron Judge, NYY: -125 (bet $125, win $100)

  • AL Cy Young — Shane McClanahan, TB: +290 (bet $100, win $290)

  • NL MVP — Paul Goldschmidt, STL: +115

  • NL Cy Young — Sandy Alcantara, MIA: +200

  • World Series Champion — New York Yankees: +400

There's two great matchups on tap tonight, as the Rays battle the Red Sox and the Cardinals take on the Braves. Each of these teams have 40+ wins already, and they're all vying for a playoff spot. Let's dive in ⚾️

Rays @ Red Sox Preview

In the AL East, Tampa Bay and Boston are in a race for second place, because the Yankees continue to widen the gap with a 13 game lead. These two teams will be fighting for a Wild Card berth, unless every Yankee starts hitting like Joey Gallo (sorry Joey G 😬). The Rays won their previous series against the Red Sox, but we'll see if they have the same result at Fenway Park 👇

  • Spread: Red Sox -1.5 (+142)

  • Moneyline: Red Sox -134 (bet $134, win $100), Rays +114 (bet $100, win $114)

  • O/U: 9 Total Runs

The Red Sox's offense ranks in the top-10 in nearly every offensive category, including batting average and on-base percentage, thanks in part to their Big Three — Rafael Devers, Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez 🔥

  • Each of these three superstars are hitting over .300 with 30+ RBIs, while Devers also leads the MLB in hits with 104

  • Bogaerts, who received seven stitches on his thigh after getting spiked on Sunday, missed the first game of this series yesterday — his status for tonight is unknown

Despite Bogaerts' absence in the lineup for Game 1, the Red Sox still beat the Rays 4-0. I like Boston again for Game 2 tonight, as Nick Pivetta (8-5 record) will be on the mound for the Sox 🧦

Cardinals @ Braves Preview

Over in the NL, we have the first of two series between the Cardinals and Braves this season. These two teams have very similar résumés, as they're both in second place of their respective divisions. Atlanta continues to navigate life without Ozzie Albies (foot), and they'll have their hands full with a strong St. Louis squad 👇

Cardinals vs. Braves Betting Preview (subject to change)

  • Spread: Braves -1.5 (+130)

  • Moneyline: Braves -152, Cardinals +128

  • O/U: 9.5 Total Runs

Like we mentioned above, Paul Goldschmidt is the favorite to win NL MVP, an award he's almost won twice before (runner-up in 2013 & 2015). With the way he's been playing, the hardware might finally be his this season 🙌

  • He leads the NL in batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage

  • Goldschmidt is also on the cusp of career milestones, including 300 HRs, 1,000 RBIs and 150 stolen bases 🤯

With Goldschmidt and his teammate Nolan Arenado posting two of the top-5 highest WAR numbers in the league, it's hard not to bet this duo against any team 💀

Trivia Question: At 34-years-old, Paul Goldschmidt would be one of the older MVP winners if he received the award. Can you name the oldest player to win MVP in MLB history? (answer below)

For My Parlay Gurus

There's a good chance we'll see all of these teams in October, but for now, two regular-season games in July will do. I think the Sox grab another win against an AL East rival, and as for our NL game, I'm betting on the big bats of Goldschmidt and Arenado to carry the Cardinals in Atlanta. Check it out 👇

  • Red Sox ML vs. Rays: -134

  • Cardinals ML vs. Braves: +128

$100 on this bet would win you $298 — if we hit, make sure you email [email protected] for a chance to win up to $100*. Many will enter, only some will win 😉
