Monday Night Football Preview

After getting clobbered by the Cardinals in Week 4 (ARI def LAR 37-20), the Rams have an opportunity to avenge their loss. This time, they get to play the role of PARTY CRASHERS…

  • The Cardinals can clinch a playoff berth for the first time since 2015 with a WIN

  • Trivia question: who led the Cardinals in rushing in 2015? (answer below)

However, at 8-4, Los Angeles must answer the biggest question of their season. Can they beat a good team? Most people will point to their win against the Bucs in September, but a lot has changed since then. After losing three straight games, they finally got back in the win column against the lowly Jaguars last week. Heading into a huge matchup vs. their division rival, maybe that was just the tune-up game they needed 💪

  • Spread: Cardinals -2.5

  • Moneyline: Rams +115 (bet $100, win $115), Cardinals -135

  • Over/Under: 51.5

Put Your Money On Rams ATS (+2.5)

For the first time since hosting the Bucs in Week 3, the Rams are underdogs. But, with the way the Cardinals have performed at home this season, you might want to consider LA in this scenario…

Betting Trends

  • The Rams are 6-0 ATS against the Cardinals on the road in their last 6 games

  • The Rams are 7-1-1 ATS against the Cardinals in their last 9 games

Trouble In Arizona: The Cardinals are 7-0 on the road this season, with each of those wins coming by double digits. At home, however, they’re just 3-2 with an average scoring margin of plus-1.4 PPG

Stopping The Run: One of the biggest factors in this matchup will be the run game. The Rams gave up 216 rushing yards to the Cardinals in their previous meeting. Yet, in their other 11 games this season, the Rams have surrendered just 89.9 rushing Y/G on 3.6 yards per carry

That’s not the only thing that shows their first matchup in Week 4 may have been an anomaly. Kyler Murray lost his first four starts against the Rams before this season, which is why I’m taking Los Angeles ATS 🧠

Matthew Stafford Prop Bet

Matthew Stafford went from MVP frontrunner to turnover liability, which resulted in a 3-game skid for the Rams. However, he’s coming off his best game in weeks, throwing for 295 yards and 3 TDs vs. the Jaguars. Let’s look at his prop for MNF, where he’ll be up against a much better Cardinals team

  • Over: 280.5 (-114)

  • Under: 280.5 (-114)

Stafford has thrown for 3,611 yards (3rd-most in NFL) and he’s gone over his passing yards line SIX times this season. It’s all about what’ve you done for me lately, and Stafford has thrown for 294+ yards in five of his last six games

However, the Rams will be facing a strong Cardinals dense, which allows just 205.1 passing Y/G (tied for 4th-best in NFL). Nonetheless, in his last matchup vs. the Cardinals in Week 4, Stafford threw for 280 yards and 2 TDs

  • With the Rams running 60.5% pass plays this season, I’m confident Stafford can hit the over in Arizona…not to mention he has the best WR in Cooper Kupp on his side 🔥

For My Parlay Gurus

Historically speaking, the Rams have done well against the Cardinals, going 7-1 in their last 8 matchups. With the way the standings are in the NFC West, Los Angeles has more to lose tonight — that’s why our parlay is all about the underdog Rams 👇

  • Rams +2.5: -110

  • Matthew Stafford over 280.5 passing yards: -114

Throwing down $100 on this parlay would result in a $258 payout, that’s plenty of cash to snag this plaque, commemorating the Rams’ last Super Bowl victory on January 30, 2000. If this hits, make sure to email [email protected] for $100. First come, first serve 💰

Trivia answer: In 2015, Chris Johnson led the Cardinals in rushing with 814 yards. David Johnson added 581 yards in what was his rookie season
