The Man, The Myth, The Game 6 Legend
Golden State will look to close out Boston at TD Garden, where the Celtics have gone just 6-5 this postseason. Can Boston force one more, or will the Game 6 legend that is Klay Thompson help the Dubs secure their fourth chip in eight years? š (3 min read)
Tonight's parlay is Celtics -4 vs. Warriors and Jayson Tatum over 27.5 pts. More info below on a chance to win $100 š

Backs Against The Wall
These finals have been hard to pin down, as Golden State and Boston have each looked like the favorite at one point or another. Neither team had strung together consecutive Ws heading into Game 5, but a vintage performance by the Warriors helped hand the Celtics their first back-to-back defeat since March š
Andrew Wiggins scored a team-high 26 pts, proving to be Warriors' second best player during the Finals. His odds to win Finals MVP went from +15000 after Game 4, to +1400 after Game 5
Tonight is obviously a must-win game for Boston, but before we dive into some important storylines, let's take a look at some past NBA champs and Finals MVPs š
2010: The Lakers took out the Celtics in seven games, as Kobe Bryant secured his second consecutive Finals MVP
2016: Who could forget the Cavs' unbelievable 3-1 comeback against the Warriors? Golden State fans of course š ā they watched Kyrie and LeBron both score 41 pts in Game 5, with The King eventually collecting his third Finals MVP after averaging 29.7 PPG in that series
2019: Toronto managed to knock off Golden State in six games, as Kawhi Leonard won his second Finals MVP. Although we thought that was the end of the Warriors' dynasty, we were mistaken š

Game 6 Klay
We're all aware of the urban legend that is Game 6 Klay (š watch this) and no, not that Klay š , but how has he performed in this year's playoffs during that pivotal contest? Let's unpack, shall we š
The sample size is small this postseason since the Warriors only had to play a single Game 6 against the Memphis Grizzlies, which they won convincingly by 14 pts. In that game, Thompson stuffed the stat sheet, putting up 30 pts on 8/14 3PT š„
Tonight, the O/U on his points is set at 19.5 (-122), so if you're bullish on Klay tapping into some Game 6 magic, why not give it a try?
On the other hand, Klay has hit the over on his points prop just twice in these Finals, so you'll have to decide if his "Game 6" nickname is worth your money š

Can Boston Extend The Series?
In the last two games, Boston has been outscored by 24 pts in the final period (adjusting for when the benches were emptied), and the main takeaway from Game 5 was that Tatum and Brown could not generate high-quality looks against a smothering Warriors defense š
However, if you're looking to get in on the betting action, Boston to win the series in seven games has great juice at +310 š
And if Boston wants to hoist another championship trophy, then Jayson Tatum will have to play out of his mind ā Kobe Bryant-esque if you will. So, betting on him for Finals MVP (+350) might actually be a better bang for your buck than just Celtics in 7
With the series shifting back to TD Garden for Game 6, I think the entire NBA world wants one more win and a Game 7 in San Francisco. Or, maybe not š
Trivia Question: Aside from Game 5, when was the last time Steph Curry did not hit a single three-pointer in a game, playoffs or regular season? (answer below)

For My Parlay Gurus
As things stand, I believe the Celtics can manage to secure a victory tonight, with the shooting variance going their way at home. I'm adding in Tatum's over, because I think in a must-win Game 6, he'll have that iconic NBA Finals performance we've all been waiting for. Check it out š
Celtics -4 vs. Warriors: -110
Jayson Tatum over 27.5 pts: -120
