Pats vs. Cardinals On MNF π
Can the Patriots get back on track in Arizona after consecutive losses? The Cardinals have been disappointing all year, but Kyler Murray is always capable of some magic. Last game of the week before your fantasy playoffs kick-off, let's get it π (3 min read)

Monday Night Matchup
This week's edition of Monday Night Football features a Patriots squad in dire need of a win traveling to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. New England has lost two straight games to top contenders in the Vikings and Bills, and now sits at an even 6-6 record. They'll need to take care of business vs. the struggling Cardinals in order to keep their playoff hopes alive π
The Patriots felt the pressure of Buffalo's staunch defense last week, scoring only 10 points in a blowout loss
New England has failed to install any creativity and downfield motion into their offense (this is funny), using QB Mac Jones very conservatively
Bill Belichick's unorthodox decision to not name an offensive coordinator this season continues to be a puzzling move π€
The #Patriots offense...subpar and yet unchanged.

The Cardinals' 4-8 record suits a team that's looked subpar all season. Arizona signed QB Kyler Murray to a $230M extension this past offseason, and many have questioned Murray's work ethic and leadership - plus the six-game suspension of star WR Deandre Hopkins didn't help get the season off on the right foot π

Struggling To Stay Afloat
The Patriots have had an odd season thus far, highlighted by inconsistency at QB. Mac Jones struggled early in the year and succumbed to an ankle injury in Week 3. Backup Bailey Zappe then promptly led New England to a 2-1 record in Jones' stead, outplaying him so thoroughly that Mac was briefly benched in Week 7. However, they ultimately elected to keep Jones as the starter, and the results have been mixed π
The Pats rattled off three straight wins after deciding to stick with Mac, and in the process got Jets QB Zach Wilson benched after two L's courtesy of New England in three weeks π
They followed that up with the two aforementioned losses to Minnesota and Buffalo, leaving this Patriots squad at a crossroads
New England will need to finish the season strong in order to remain competitive for a playoff berth, and their impending schedule isn't promising π¬
The #Patriots will now probably have to win 4 out of their remaining 5 games this season in order to make the playoffs at 10-7.
Their remaining schedule includes the:

-#Cardinals
-#Bengals
-#Dolphins
-#BillsCan they do it?

Arizona looks like perhaps the easiest win out of that slate, as the Cardinals have failed to build any momentum this season. They've been uninspiring on both sides of the football, ranking 16th in points scored and 21st in points allowed. It's been disappointing to see how far Arizona has fallen since their roaring 7-0 start last season π

The Cardinals proceeded to fall apart down down the stretch last year, closing it out with a 4-6 stretch and a playoff flameout vs. the Rams
They've looked mostly like the team from those final 11 games throughout this season, as Murray has failed to ascend to the heights expected following his max extension. Kyler was even called out by former teammate Patrick Peterson, who had some harsh words for the young QB π

Still with all the drama in Arizona, tonight's line is somewhat of a toss-up. Who you got π

For My Parlay Gurus
I'm not confident that this Patriots team has what it takes to grab a playoff spot, but I think they'll keep those hopes alive this week. Arizona is reeling from two straight losses, and could struggle to penetrate New England's physical defense. Look for Mac Jones and company to make just enough plays to secure the win π
