Golf's most historic championship returns to Royal Troon Golf Club, as the world's best golfers will be competing to claim the year's final major. Betting board and favorite outright picks below 🤝 (3 min read)
The 2024 Open Championship
Tomorrow’s Open Championship, commonly referred to as the British Open, is the final major championship on the calendar. Royal Troon will play host for the first time since 2016, when Henrick Stenson out-dueled Phil Mickelson in one of the most famous head-to-head showdowns in history. This year is sure to unveil new storylines, as the world’s best golfers all try to claim the Claret Jug 🏆
World #1 Scottie Scheffler is the heavy favorite (+450) and will try to rebound after a disappointing showing at the US Open
Bryson DeChambeau (+1800) will be looking to stay in form after an impressive showing in route to the US Open title
Rory McIlroy (+850) will be attempting to shake off the heart break suffered on the 72nd hole at Pinehurst

Royal Troon Golf Club will offer a few stand out features to draw in viewers throughout the week. First and most famously, the the short par-3 known as the Postage Stamp. The hole is only 120 yards long but is surrounded by bunkers and runoffs, making it a mental battle for the golfers and an entertaining watch for the crowd 👀

In addition to the Postage Stamp, Troon will also put into the play the longest hole in Open Championship history. The par-5 6th hole will stretch all the way to 623 yards 🙏
A front nine featuring the longest hole in Open history and the iconic Postage Stamp. A back nine considered one of the toughest in golf.
Royal Troon is a stunning championship venue, and often tells a tale of two nines.

The Open Championship Outright Winner Odds(subject to change)
Scottie Scheffler: +450
Rory McIlroy: +850
Xander Schauffele: +1100
Ludvig Aberg: +1600
Collin Morikawa: +1600
Bryson DeChambeau: +1800
Trivia Question: When was the last time a golfer won the Masters and the Open Championship in the same year?
Favorite Outright Bets
The 2024 golf season early on was defined by Scottie Scheffler and his dominance, but now with two straight majors seeing someone else win, there are a number of golfers in play to capture the title this week in Scotland 💰
⛳ Collin Morikawa: +1600
The two time major champion comes in with great recent form. He’s finished inside the top-20 in all seven of his previous starts, including a 4th place finish last week in Scotland at the Genesis Scottish Open. Morikawa has proven he knows how to win majors, and that experience will be needed down the stretch this Sunday as he looks to claim his 3rd
In 2021, @collin_morikawa had the joy of heading to the 72nd green in The Open with the Claret Jug all but secured 🏆

⛳ Tony Finau: +5000
While nothing in golf could seem like more of a waste than betting Finau at a major, it is hard to deny that he is trending in the right direction. He’s had three straight top-10 finishes, two at signature events and a 3rd at the US Open. It also doesn’t hurt his case that he’s made the cut 6 out of 7 times at the Open, which includes two top-10s
It's the toughest hole on the course!
Tony Finau moves to one stroke off the lead with a birdie on 2.

⛳ Akshay Bhatia: +11000
My longshot pick this week is the young lefty. It is very common to see a longshot contend and even win the Open. Last year, for example, Brian Harman won the Open at odds of +120,000. Oh…and he’s a lefty as well. Bhatia won on the PGA Tour earlier this season and followed that up with a top-5 finish in each of his last two starts
Back-to-back top 5s.
Four straight top 25s.
And a runner-up finish.@akshaybhatia_1 keeps knocking at the door for win No. 3.
