Are You One Of The 31.4 Million Americans Betting On The Super Bowl?

$7.6B is expected to be gambled on Sunday. And, with an on-field matchup between the Bengals and Rams that could go either way, it should be a wild Super Bowl 🏆 (5 minute read)

The Super Bowl is in two days 😤 — let’s talk prop bets and the Simpsons 👇

Super Bowl LVI Betting Preview

No disrespect meant to the NBA Finals, the World Series, or the Masters, but when it comes to the pinnacle of American sports, one event will always stand above the rest — the Super Bowl 🏆

The 56th edition of the Big Game is just days away, and while the Rams and Bengals are preparing to duke it out on the field, sports bettors are getting ready to wager on anything from the final score to the color of the Gatorade dumped on the winning coach

  • A record 31.4 million Americans plan to bet on Super Bowl LVI, a 35% increase from last year

  • An estimated $7.61B is expected to be wagered, up 78% from a year ago

Awaiting the millions of bettors hoping to hit big this weekend is a difficult decision; the lovable underdog Bengals, or the hometown Rams? Here’s how the lines are shaping up ahead of Sunday’s showdown at SoFi Stadium 👇

  • Spread: Rams -4

  • Moneyline: Rams -200 (bet $200, win $100), Bengals +170 (bet $100, win $170)

  • Over/Under: 48.5

Who’s Bringing Home MVP?

One of the most popular bets of Super Bowl Sunday? Picking the man who will be named MVP of the game, and whether you’re rocking with the Bengals or the Rams, you’ve got options. Here’s a look at the board 👇

  • Matthew Stafford: +125

  • Joe Burrow: +225

  • Cooper Kupp: +550

  • Aaron Donald: +1200

  • Ja’Marr Chase: +2000

  • Odell Beckham Jr: +2500

  • Cam Akers: +2800

Want to play it safe? You can’t go wrong with the QB of the team you expect to win, especially with Stafford and Burrow both looking ready for their moment. But a few of the other superstars in action would like a word as well 👑

  • Can Kupp (+550) add some hardware to one of the greatest WR seasons ever? Over the past two games the gameplan-proof stud has 20 catches for 325 yards and three TDs

  • Speaking of historical receiving numbers, the postseason hasn’t slowed down Ja’Marr Chase (+2000), who has topped 100 yards or scored in each game. He’s got a shot at being the first rookie to win Super Bowl MVP

  • Since 2003 only two defensive players have been named MVP, but three-time DPOY Aaron Donald (+1200) is as good of a bet as any to join that list 💰

Looking for a true dark-horse pick? Tee Higgins (+5000) is averaging 100 yards per game over the his last two outings. If Chase gets the Jalen Ramsey treatment, Higgins could be Burrow’s go-to target 😏

Trivia question: Von Miller is the last defensive player to be named Super Bowl MVP, earning the honor in 2016. Who is the Seahawks linebacker who won the award two years prior vs. the Broncos? (answer below)

Prop Time

As alluded to earlier, if there’s something you want to bet on in the Super Bowl, you probably can 😂

But looking beyond just the novelty bets, there’s plenty of value to be had in other prop lines 👇

📍 Odds to record a sack: Aaron Donald (-200) and Trey Hendrickson (-125)

  • Playing in his second Super Bowl, it feels inevitable Donald makes his mark and gets to Burrow in the backfield. The line isn’t ideal, but he’s +350 to record the first sack if you think he starts the game in style

  • Meanwhile, Trey Hendrickson continues to look like a star for Cincy. He racked up 14 sacks this season and has added another 2.5 in the playoffs

📍 Odell Beckham Jr. Over 5.5 Receptions (EVEN)

  • Kupp rightfully gets all the attention, but OBJ has been huge for the Rams in the playoffs, catching at least six passes or a touchdown in each game

📍 Even McPherson Over 1.5 Field Goals (-115)

  • Few would have a predicted a kicker becoming one of the biggest stars of the playoffs, but McPherson has absolute ice in his veins. I’d bank on the rookie nailing at least two, and it wouldn’t shock me if one was in crunch time 😎

For My Parlay Gurus

I love Joey Brr and the upstart Bengals as much as the next guy, but I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing Stafford get that long-awaited first ring. I’m going with the Rams to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in front of the home crowd— here’s the same-game parlay I’m looking to cash 👇

  • Rams -4: -110

  • Aaron Donald to record a sack: -200

  • Odell Beckham Jr. O 5.5 receptions: EVEN

$100 on this banger would pay out $473 🥵. If we hit, make sure to email [email protected] for $100*. First come, first serve 😉

Trivia answer: Malcolm Smith was named MVP of Super Bowl XLVIII for the Seahawks after a dominating 43-8 victory over the Broncos. Smith returned an INT for a TD, recovered a fumble and added 10 tackles
