No. 1 Tennessee vs. No. 3 Georgia 🍿
On Saturday, Tennessee pays a visit to Athens to take on the defending National Champions. It really doesn't get any bigger than this...who will come out on top? 🏈 (4 min read)

Matchup Of The Year
There aren't many undefeated teams left in college football, but two of the six that remain are both in the SEC. Probably not a surprise there, but don't forget that Tennessee was not included in AP Preseason Rankings (26th). Interestingly enough, UGA landed at the third spot in those same rankings, despite coming off a National Title. Regardless, the Bulldogs will be hosting what is definitely the marquee matchup of the season 👇
#1 Tennessee at #3 Georgia is currently the most expensive regular season college football game on record, per @TickPick.

It's been quite a magical season for the Vols...yes, the regular season isn't over yet, but Tennessee has put together a great run so far, fueled by Hendon Hooker, the play-caller behind the most explosive offense in the FBS (49.4 PPG, to go along with 553 YPG, which both rank first in the country) 🔥
Hooker, who transferred to Tennessee from Virginia Tech in 2021, began the year at +6600 to win the Heisman — he now has the best odds (+100) to secure the highest individual award
Through 8 games and 219 pass attempts, Hooker has only thrown a single INT, and after last week (a 44-6 blowout against a #19 ranked Kentucky), now owns a school record, having thrown a TD in 20 straight games
Too easy for Tennessee.

No Respect?
It's no surprise that a certain subsection of UGA fans are annoyed at a perceived lack of respect from the rankings committee. As mentioned before, Georgia didn't even hold the top spot following a National Title. But to play devil's advocate, the program did lose 15 players to the 2022 NFL draft (a record), and now hold the No. 3 spot even though they are just as undefeated as the Volunteers 👀
Tennessee is No. 1.
Georgia is No. 3.Georgia beat No. 8 by 46
Tennessee beat No. 6 by 3Georgia beat Florida by 22
Tennessee beat Florida by 5Tell me again the committee isn't biased.

Arguments about rankings could go on forever, but books certainly view Georgia as one of the clear-cut favorites to win it all 👇
UGA is tied for the best odds to hoist another FBS championship (+200), along with CJ Stroud's Buckeyes. Tennessee holds the fourth-best odds (+1000), which certainly holds great value
Meanwhile the Bulldogs are the clear-cut favorite to win the SEC (+100), while the Volunteers are third (+500), with the Crimson Tide in between the two, despite losing a shootout in Knoxville a few weeks ago
If anything the oddsmakers have a reversal of the official committee rankings, which is definitely interesting. Both Tennessee and Georgia can put up points in a flurry...both teams are tied with Oregon for having the most games with 500+ total yards of offense at six. Expect another shoutout on Saturday with highlights like this 🎥

For My Parlay Gurus
Despite the odds not matching up with how good I think the Volunteers can be, I'm not ready to pick Tennessee outright. But I do like them to cover the spread, especially considering the Vols have made a living taking out the Bulldogs in Athens 😈
Tennessee has knocked off a Top 10 Georgia team in Athens 3 times.

However, Georgia's defense is limiting opponents to just 10.5 PPG, so I'm riding with the under in this one to finish off my parlay. Take a look 👇
Tennessee +8.5 @ Georgia: -115
Under 66.5 Total Points: -110
