NFL Divisional Round

Fun fact: Jared Goff is 29 years old and the oldest QB playing this weekend. Baker is a close second at 28, along with Patrick Mahomes. In short, it’s a young mans game. A thrilling Wild Card weekend is now behind us, which means we’re moving on to the best weekend of football. We have plenty of games to go around, with four spread out across the weekend, but the field is narrowing down to the cream of the crop 🔥

  • From watching young studs like CJ Stroud and Jordan Love face off vs. their conferences’ top seeds, to the heavyweight battle in Buffalo, there’s plenty to get excited about. Franchises like the Bills, Texans, and Lions have never tasted a Super Bowl victory

  • No matter the outcomes, let’s hope for a thrilling weekend on par with the 2022 Divisional Round 🍿

Of course, the main event will be Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes’ third playoff duel — Allen will be hungry for revenge after coming up short the first two times, particularly in the infamous 13-second comeback. There are many signs pointing toward this being the Bills’ year to exercise their KC demons 👇

  • This is the first time the playoff matchup has occurred in Buffalo, where Bills Mafia will be out in full force in the freezing cold. The Bills feel like the team of destiny, now having racked up 6 straight wins after their concerning 6-6 start to the season

  • And first and foremost, Josh Allen is squarely in his prime and showcasing his generational talent as a dual threat QB. The question remains; how will Mahomes do in his first road playoff game?

  • Spread: Bills -2.5

  • Moneyline: Bills -146, Chiefs +124

  • O/U: 45.5

  • When: Sunday at 6:30PM EST on CBS

Another top matchup to watch is 49ers vs. Packers, where Jordan Love will look to establish himself as a generational talent vs. the league’s most stacked team. The Niners have haunted the Packers in the postseason in a similar manner to the Chiefs’ relationship with the Bills, so Green Bay will be hungry to get the monkey off its back 👀

  • This game also promises another head-to-head coaching matchup between friends and rivals Kyle Shanahan and Matt LaFleur

  • The 49ers are Vegas’ Super Bowl favorite for good reason (+175) — it’s hard to remember a more loaded unit in all facets of the game

  • But the Packers’ dominant win in Dallas was nothing short of special, and has Green Bay fans believing in an upset 🧀

  • Spread: Niners -9.5

  • Moneyline: Niners -450, Packers +350

  • O/U: 50.5

  • When: Saturday at 8:15PM on FOX

  • 49ers: +175

  • Ravens: +270

  • Bills: +490

  • Chiefs: +700

  • Lions: +900

  • Packers: +3000

  • Bucs & Texans: +3300

Trivia Question: The Lions and Texans are two of the four teams that have never even played in a Super Bowl. Can you name the other two?

For My Parlay Gurus

While the Chiefs’ win over Miami was impressive, the Bills present an entirely different challenge. I believe KC’s offensive issues that have plagued them all year will resurface in a tight loss, with Allen enjoying a statement performance. Out in the Bay, I like the Packers to put up a spirited fight and cover the lofty spread, but the Niners to show their ultimate dominance and prevail 👇

  • Bills -2.5 vs. Chiefs: -122

  • Packers +9.5 @ Niners: -108
