Mike Vrabel Is A Massive Coach Of The Year Favorite At +150

The Tennessee Titans are quietly on a six game win streak, and Head Coach Mike Vrabel has his squad winning games, despite constant injuries šŸ“‹ (3 minute read)

We hit our parlay yesterday šŸ˜‰ and Steph Curry went off last night vs the Nets in a blowout win. Today we’re talking NFL Coaches šŸˆ

Coach Vrabel

Since taking over the reins of the Titans in 2018, Mike Vrabel’s has led the Titans to three solid, and most importantly, winning seasons

  • 2019: 9-7, missed playoffs

  • 2020: 9-7, lost in the AFC Championship game @ Kansas City

  • 2021: 11-5, lost in the Wild Card round vs. Baltimore

This season, the Titans have ripped off eight wins in 10 games, despite several injuries to key players šŸ¤•

  • The Titans have used 82 players this season, the NFL record is 84

  • Derrick Henry is on IR after breaking a bone in his foot during Week 8

  • Julio Jones is on IR with a hamstring injury, and will miss at least five games this season

Somehow though, the Titans are on pace to match their best season in franchise history. If they keep this up, it’s hard to see a world in which anyone other than Mike Vrabel wins the Coach of the Year award

  • Mike Vrabel: +150

  • Bill Belichick: +700

  • Mike McCarthy: +700

  • Kliff Kingsbury: +700

  • Brandon Staley: +1000

Trivia question: How many touchdowns did Mike Vrabel catch in his career? (answer below)

Vrabel’s Biggest Challenger

Vrabel’s head coach from 2001 to 2008 might be the best bet of any outsider to take the award away from him

  • As of now, Bill Belichick has led the Patriots to a 6-4 record, despite starting a rookie quarterback

  • Mac Jones (+130) trails only Ja’Marr Chase (EVEN) to win Offensive Rookie of the Year

If the Pats can extend their four-game winning streak, they have a chance to overcome their half-game deficit to the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills. With a AFC East title, voters might have to recognize Bill Belichick’s leadership, especially if the Titans lose some games down the stretch

  • That’s a lot of ā€œifsā€, but that likelihood is reflected in Belichick’s odds (+700)

Don’t Sleep On The King

Also +700, Kliff Kingsbury has led the Arizona Cardinals to an impressive 8-2 record through 10 weeks of football. However, in their two games without star QB Kyler Murray, they’re just 1-1

  • If Murray continues to miss time, Kingsbury will have to string out some tough wins to remain in the Coach of the Year hunt

Kingsbury would be the first Cardinals coach to win the award since 2014, when Bruce Arians led Drew Stanton and Larry Fitzgerald to a 11-5 record

For My Parlay Gurus

With Belichick’s Pats taking on the Falcons tomorrow night, we like this parlay for +266 odds. New England has won four straight games, including back-to-back blowout wins vs the Panthers and Browns

  • Patriots -7 @ the Falcons: -105

  • Over 47.5 total points: -110

While a seven point road favorite is a tough spread to ride, I think Bill’s squad is getting hot at the right time šŸ”„

Since this parlay isn’t till Thursday night, we’ll give you another one tomorrow for double the chances to win $100 šŸ¤‘

Trivia answer: Often inserted as a goal-line receiver on offense, despite normally serving as a linebacker on defense, Vrabel caught 11 touchdown passes over the course of his career, including eight thrown by Tom Brady
