Michigan State Visits No. 4 Michigan 😀

It's little brother week, as No. 4 Michigan prepares for their in-state rivals. MSU has not been good this year, but always come to play vs. the Wolverines. Let's take a quick peak at this Saturday's night game 🌚 (3 min read)

In-State Rivalry

This Saturday, No. 4 Michigan will take on their 'little-brother' in the Michigan State Spartans. At home. Under the lights. With a 7:30PM EST kick-off. Electric πŸ’‘

MSU is 3-4 on the season and 1-3 in the Big Ten, just a few months after paying Mel Tucker an insane amount of money 😬

For all the sh*t talking coming from UM fans like myself, State has won the last two meetings and six of the last nine. I was at this game in 2015 and it was an absolute heart-breaker πŸ’”

On top of that, last year the Wolverines were 7-0 and up by eight points heading into the fourth quarter in East Lansing before ultimately losing by four. Kenneth Walker rushed for 197 yards and 5 TDs! This game is obviously circled on the schedule every season, but a Michigan loss at home would be more crushing than ever. I am a little nervous...

More Thoughts

Over the years, this rivalry has really had some crazy storylines. No defensive player has won the Heisman since Charles Woodson did back in 1997, and this play vs. MSU is the highlight everyone thinks about when looking back on his Heisman campaign πŸ‘‡

While Michigan leads the all-time series 71-38-5, as mentioned above, it really doesn't feel like that. I'm genuinely shocked that Michigan is -3000 ML (what!?) to win this game, regardless of how bad MSU has been. It's a huge rivalry and a night game...what am I missing with these odds? Maybe I should just stop overthinking it and listen to former UM OT Taylor Lewan go off πŸ—£

This is also a huge game for RB Blake Corum, who currently has the 7th most rushing yards (901) in the country and is tied for the most rushing TDs (13). He's sitting at the 4th best odds in the Heisman race at +1400, and if he can do to MSU what Kenneth Walker did to UM last season, he'll likely hop USC QB Caleb Williams. We have a few days till kickoff...the countdown begins ⏳

Trivia question: Which school has more starting RBs in the NFL, UM or MSU?

For My Parlay Gurus

I know I said I'm nervous, but Michigan -22.5 is the right play here. If you can tease it down to under 20 points you'll avoid some common margins of victory, but a route is on the horizon ⚑️

Since we need something for tonight, the Pistons make sense to feature (shoutout UM alum Isaiah Livers). Unfortunately this is the second night of a back-to-back, and the Hawks are nice. I'm taking Atlanta and New York, check it out (NBA Wednesday OddsπŸ‘‡

  • Atlanta -7 @ Pistons: -110

  • Knicks -7.5 vs. Hornets: -110
