Let’s talk about the next head coach to be fired 👇

Who Gets Canned?
Through 13 weeks of the NFL season, not one head coach has been fired (not counting Jon Gruden resigning for obvious reason). Among the NFL’s bottom-feeders, a few have new coaches or are in the middle of a rebuild, making pulling the plug a bit premature. These teams have had a rough go, but likely won’t axe their coach so soon after hiring him
New York Jets (3-9): Robert Saleh, first season
Houston Texans (2-10): David Culley, first season
Detroit Lions (1-10-1): Dan Campbell, first season
Still, a few long-time head coaches could be on the chopping block, especially if their teams continue their current slide. Urban Meyer is on the list as well, likely due to a mix of off-the-field issues, and an inability to maximize Trevor Lawrence’s talent
Matt Nagy (Chicago Bears, 4-8): +200 (bet $100, win $200)
Mike Zimmer (Minnesota Vikings, 5-7): +500
Urban Meyer (Jacksonville Jaguars, 2-10): +600

Bad News Bears
Hired in 2018, Matt Nagy’s Bears have won 32 of 60 games under his watch. However, it seems like they’ve only gotten worse over time 📉
2018: 12-4
2019: 8-8
2020: 8-8
2021: 4-8
Nagy has yet to win a postseason contest after getting bounced in appearances in 2018 and 2020. If the Bears do decide to pull the plug, it would be the first time they’ve fired a coach in the middle of a season in 100 years
On Sunday Night Football, the Bears will play a rested Green Bay (9-3) team coming off of a bye — and the Pack will surely be looking to put the nail in the coffin of their biggest rival
Bears (+12.5) @ Packers: -110
Over/Under: 44
Moneyline: Bears +500, Packers -700
A blowout win could mean it’s time for Nagy to pack his bags…so now might be the time to place a bet 🤷🏽‍♂️
Trivia question: what was the name of the kicker who missed the famous “double doink” game-winning kick in the Eagles vs. Bears playoff game back in the 2019? (answer below)

Mediocre Mike
Mike Zimmer’s time in Minneapolis looks like it could be coming to a close, after a brutal ending in Detroit gave the Lions their first win of the season. If the playoffs started today, the Vikings would be a game outside of earning a Wild Card spot. If they’d have beaten the Lions, they’d be in
This fourth-down defense on the final play of them game might be enough ammo for the Vikings to move on
While this play frustrates everyone in Minnesota, it’s come to be the norm. The Vikings have had a historically terrible two-minute defense this season
They’ve allowed the most points in the NFL in the final two minutes of any half (101)
The all-time record is 107, set by Minnesota just last season
If they fail to take care of business as home favorites tomorrow against the Steelers, Zimmer could be gone sooner rather than later
Steelers (+3) @ Vikings: -110
Over/Under: 43.5
Moneyline: Steelers +144, Vikings -172
