🏈 Detroit's 2nd Primetime Game
The 2023 NFC North title looks like it may very well come down to two promising young squads: the Packers and the Lions. With these rivals battling tonight for an early division lead, grab your popcorn and get ready for the show. NFL, thanks for giving us another Lions primetime game (3 min read) 🍿
NFC North Battle
No division looks more wide open this season than the NFC North — other than the hapless Bears, each squad has a chance to take the crown. The Vikings have started the season an unfortunate 0-3, but they won the division last year and still possess the ultimate trump card in Justin Jefferson. However, the two clear favorites for the throne are the Packers and Lions, who face off tonight on Thursday Night Football 🏈
With both teams 2-1, current odds to win the division are tight. The Lions sit as the favorite at +100, with GB right behind them at +145
The Packers are hot, coming back from a 17-0 fourth quarter deficit last week to beat the Saints. Jordan Love has had no trouble filling the very prominent shoes left behind in Green Bay 👀

The Lions entered this season with the most hope in recent memory, evident in their second primetime TNF game in just four weeks. While the offense hasn’t looked quite like the juggernaut many predicted, the season-opening win in Kansas City showed Detroit has to be taken seriously. Which one of these hungry young squads will come out of tonight with a lead in the NFC North? Peep the odds 👇

Yesterday, an interesting story broke regarding Devante Adams - the star WR is unhappy, and NFL analysts seem to think both of tonight’s teams would be a good fit 👀

It was difficult to know what to expect from the Packers going into this season. Although it’s still only a small sample size, all signs already point toward Jordan Love being a franchise QB, and maybe he’s even impressed Davante enough to consider a return home. The Packers have rallied around the young QB, who has breathed fresh air into a situation that grew stagnant last year ⭐️
The absences of Aaron Jones, the true engine of this offense, as well as top target Christian Watson (listed as active), haven’t seemed to faze Love. With Jones expected to suit up tonight, Green Bay should finally have their full suite of weapons
The defense has also looked stout, spearheaded by the return of star linebacker Rashan Gary 😤
#Packers star pass rusher Rashan Gary was emotional in his 1st game back from a torn ACL ❤️
He had 3 sacks, 3 TFLS and played a huge role in the team’s win 👏

The Lions should present a unique challenge for Green Bay, as their high-powered offense is still looking for its true breakout game. Jared Goff finally threw a couple of interceptions after a nearly record-breaking streak, but still looks like a highly efficient passer with a top-notch target in Amon-Ra St. Brown. However, it was the other side of the ball that carried Detroit last week 🚦
The Lions’ defense showed out on Sunday, completely neutralizing the Falcons’ strong running game. AJ Dillon better hope Aaron Jones is out there to help out
Sophomore defensive end Aidan Hutchinson has looked like a star, winning NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his exploits vs. Atlanta

Who wins tonight? |
Trivia Question: Which NFC North squad has won the most all-time division titles?
For My Parlay Gurus
I think this one will come down to the wire, and I like the Packers to defend home field in an exciting last-minute finish. Look for the returns of Jones and Watson to invigorate an already amped up Green Bay offense, as Jordan Love continues to turn heads with his high level play. Take a look 👇
