Must-Win Game For Kentucky πΎ
It's been an up and down few season for Kentucky basketball. After ending last year's tournament with a loss to Saint Peter's, the Wildcats came into 2022 ranked No. 4. Now, they find themselves just inside the bubble and can't afford any bad losses π (3 min read)

Checking In On Kentucky
It's been eight years since Kentucky's last Final Four berth, when they suffered their first loss of the season to Wisconsin. 2017 marks their last legitimate March Madness run, getting to the Elite Eight before losing to eventually National Champion North Carolina. Since then, the Wildcats have made made the Sweet 16 once, missed the tournament once, and last year they fell to No. 15 seed Saint Peter's in overtime in the first round π₯΄
This season has been an interesting one to say the least. After starting the year as the preseason No. 4 team, Kentucky sits at 18-9 and hanging on by a thread for a NCAAM tournament berth. Bad losses to Missouri, South Carolina and Georgia hurt, but the Wildcats just took down Tennessee, bumping them up to an 8-seed in Joe Ludardi's latest round of Bracketology π

Tonight's game at Florida might actually be a must-win, as grabbing another conference road dub would really help the Wildcats with only four regular season games left. Take a look at the lines π

Balanced Attack
Kentucky obviously has one of the most talented rosters in the country, but this season their team isn't made up of underclassmen like usual. Coach Calipari is known as one of the best recruiters in the game, but this year's team actually features a bunch of veterans. Of their top-6 scorers, five of them are seniors, with projected first round pick Cason Wallace being the only underclassman seeing significant minutes π

Oscar Tshiebwe, last year's Naismith Player of the Year, is still the guy in Lexington. He's averaging an efficient 16 PPG and leads the country in rebounding at 13 per game. Look for him to have a big showing tonight, but keep an eye on freshman Chris Livingston, who is finally getting some minutes. The No. 12 recruit in the country has played over 30 minutes in four straight games, and was just named SEC Freshman of the Week πͺ
I'd like us all to take a moment of our time to appreciate this defensive play by Chris Livingston
This is what growth as a player looks like

As for the Gator's, unfortunately their best player, Colin Castleton, is out indefinitely with a broken hand. It'll be tough to replace his 16 PPG - guards Riley Kugel and Will Richard will need to step up π
For My Parlay Gurus
I'm shocked at tonight's line - Florida gets home court and played Kentucky closely in their first meeting, but have lost four of their last five games. With no Castleton, I like Kentucky to cover. The other interesting game of the night is Providence vs. UConn. Give me the Friars to cover on the road π
Kentucky -3.5 @ Florida: -102
No. 20 Providence +6.5 @ No. 18 UConn: -102
