Did you miss seeing the Splash Brothers running around screen while Draymond fed them crisp passes? I know I did, but their back now and should be tested by a hot Boston team šŸ’§ (4 minute read)

Celtics @ Warriors Preview

Despite the Celtics' slow start and the Warriors' recent struggles, both these teams are peaking just in time for a postseason push. When they face each other tonight in Boston, the Celtics will have a chance to eclipse the Bulls for fourth place in the East, earning home court advantage in the first round, while the Warriors can edge past the Grizzlies for second in the West 😤

Celtics vs. Warriors Odds (subject to change)

  • Spread: Warriors -3.5

  • Moneyline: Warriors -158 (bet $158, win $100), Celtics +134 (bet $100, win $134)

The Celtics' Surge

Even with the high-octane offense of Jayson Tatum and Steph Curry, both these teams have been racking up wins thanks to their defense 🤺

  • Through almost 70 games, the Celtics and Warriors have each settled in the top three of the NBA's defensive rating leaderboard, with the Suns sitting above Golden State and below Boston

Boston took a while to acclimate to first year Head Coach Ime Udoka's switch-heavy scheme, but they've come out of the All-Star break on a tear, with Robert Williams blossoming into one of the NBA's best roving shot blockers ā˜ļø

Tatum's also on one of the best runs of his career, having gone scorched earth on the rest of the League since the start of March. This month he's averaging crazy numbers šŸ‘‡

  • 33.3 PPG

  • 7.3 TRB

  • 4.6 AST

  • 48/38/87 shooting splits

Given their recent elite level of play, I think it's time we start giving Boston the same level of respect as Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Miami and Milwaukee šŸ‘€

Trivia question: Who has the most 50-point games in Celtics history? (answer below)

The Big Three Is BACK

After 1005 days apart, the Warriors' OG Big Three suited up together for the first time since the 2019 Finals. Like not a day had gone by, their re-debut went swimmingly, ending in a blowout win on Monday vs. the Wizards šŸ’§

  • It was Steph's birthday and he dropped 47 points on 7/14 from deep

  • Draymond led the game in +/- (+24), despite playing just 20 minutes

The trio took a moment to bask in the joy of getting to play together again for the first time in ages šŸ˜‡

These guys look like they know they're up to something special, yet again. Add in Jordan Poole, who hasn't scored fewer than 20 points in seven straight games, and it's hard not to take the reemergence of the Dubs' dynasty seriously šŸ†

For My Parlay Gurus

Although the Celtics have been the better team as of late, Draymond's return looks like it's kicked the Warriors' defense back into gear. They've now won four in a row after dropping 11 of 13 between February 9th and March 7th

I expect this to be a phenomenal game, and I'm going to take the Celtics with the points on the road. I think they'll be ready for Steph, but his points total feels low, so I'm going to take the over there to finish my parlay šŸ‘‡

  • Celtics +3.5 @ Warriors: -110

  • Steph Curry over 25.5 points: -102
