Georgia Is The New NCAAF Favorite At Even Money
The Bulldogs started the year at +400 to win the CFP, but after another impressive win this week and an Alabama loss, they find themselves as NCAAF National Championship favorites 🤯 (3 minute read)
We Have A New No. 1
This time last week, SEC giants Alabama and Georgia checked in with the same odds to bring home the national championship at +160. But, after a last-second Seth Small field goal sealed Texas A&M’s upset over the Crimson Tide, there’s a new lone favorite atop the board 🐶
Georgia: Even
Alabama: +260
Ohio State: +750
Oklahoma: +1400
Iowa: +2000
Michigan: +2500
Cincinnati: +2800
Georgia’s defense has allowed 33 pts ALL SEASON. It’s only right that the Bulldogs are even money against the rest of the field
Can The Dawgs Run The Table?
Simply put, yes. The Bulldogs have hardly broken a sweat since a narrow 10-3 victory over Clemson in Week 1, and they’re getting it done on both sides of the ball
The stifling defense has given up just 33 points combined this season; that’s less than two field goals a game
Georgia’s 39.8 points per game is good for fourth in the SEC
Kirby Smart’s bunch has been nothing short of dominant this season. But it’s no secret the SEC is a gauntlet, and Georgia will have their work cut out for them every single week. Keep an especially close eye on these upcoming matchups:
vs. #11 Kentucky (10/16)
@ #20 Florida (10/30)
If they make it past these two conference rivals this month, Georgia has an easy weeks 10-13 and should expect to see Alabama in the SEC Conference Championship game December 4th
If Not Georgia, Who?
Let’s start with the team many expect to be matched up against Georgia in December for a shot at the SEC title — Alabama. Their loss this weekend may have them on the outside looking in for the time being, but this is still a team that likely controls their own destiny and looks the part of a contender
Winning out secures Bama’s spot in the SEC title game, and they only have one ranked matchup left on their schedule (11/20 vs. #17 Arkansas)
Quarterback Bryce Young has emerged as the mid-season Heisman favorite, with even odds to bring home the award
But let’s be honest, it’s no fun betting on Alabama. If you’re looking for a real sleeper team to throw your weight behind, look no further than Cincinnati (+2800)
An AAC team in the CFP? At #3 in most recent the AP Poll, Cincinnati appears to finally be getting the national respect they deserve
With #23 SMU representing the lone ranked opponent left on their schedule, an undefeated regular season could very well be in the cards
QB Desmond Ridder has put his name firmly in the Heisman conversation with the third-best odds to win (+1200)
Convinced Cincy is the real deal? Get on this line while you can, they were +3300 as recently as last week 📈
For My Parlay Gurus
After beginning the season unranked, #11 Kentucky’s 6-0 start has been one of the SEC’s most pleasant surprises. Unfortunately, they’re about to run into the brick wall that is Georgia. I call this the “absolute massive favorites parlay”
No. 1 Georgia -23.5 vs No. 11 Kentucky: -110
No. 5 Alabama -17 @ Mississippi State: -110
No. 3 Cincinnati -21 vs UCF: -110
$100 on these three favorites to cover wins you $596 🤑. Everyone expects Bama to bounce back, and if -23.5 feels like a big spread against an undefeated SEC team, just watch these highlights of Georgia’s 37-0 romp of #8 Arkansas from a couple weeks 😎
