Weirdest Final Four Ever 🧐

And then there were four! The Final Four is set and will feature three schools all making their program debut at championship weekend. UConn is the favorite, but considering how the last two weeks have gone, no outcome from here on out seems too unlikely πŸ€ (2 min read)

Down To Four

We officially have four teams left standing in what has been one of the most interesting NCAA Tournaments of recent memory. In a year in which there was no clear favorite from start to finish, it only makes sense that zero No. 1s made the Elite Eight, and no top-3 seeds will travel to Houston this coming weekend πŸ†

Yesterday's games were both very entertaining, yet extremely different. Creighton led by five at half, but SDSU kept it close the whole way before pulling out a win from a last second free throw in a game with only 113 total points πŸ’€

On the other hand, Texas was up by 12 points and dominating the game with less than 10 minutes remaining, but Miami wouldn't stop scoring en route to their 51-pt second half πŸ‘€

Hooper of the day goes to Miami's Jordan Miller, who literally didn't miss a shot. He's the first player with 27 points on 100% FG and 100% FT in an NCAA Tournament game since Christian Laettner in the 1992 Elite 8 against Kentucky, when he hit β€œThe Shot" πŸ€

In his 12th year coaching the Hurricanes, Jim LarraΓ±aga will now take his second team to the Final Four (2006 George Mason), and it'll be Miami's first appearance in program history - SDSU and Florida Atlantic also join the Hurricanes as first-timers. Vegas thinks it's UConn's tournament to lose, but I don't think these three teams would agree πŸ‘‡

  • UConn: -125 (bet $125, win $100)

  • SDSU: +360 (bet $100, win $360)

  • Miami: +490

  • FAU: +600

Short and sweet today, we'll be back later in the week with a more in-depth look at this weekend's matchups. I imagine some of your brackets had UConn in the Final Four, but if you had any of the other three teams you're a hero πŸ’ͺ
