NCAAW Final Four Preview

Only 5.53% of brackets correctly predicted the Women's Final Four: No. 1 South Carolina, No. 1 Stanford, No. 1 Louisville, and No. 2 UConn. It might look a little familiar, as three of these four teams reached the final weekend a year ago. It's also no surprise that we see a handful of No. 1 seeds left in the field...

  • For the fifth consecutive tournament, three of the four teams in the Final Four are one seeds šŸ”„

Through the Elite Eight, viewership for the entire women's tournament is up 11% from last year. As a fan, we've seen amazing matchups thus far, but Friday night's lineup will be a Final Four to remember

  • Friday, April 1st @ 7pm ET: No. 1 Louisville vs. No. 1 South Carolina

  • Friday, April 1st @ 9:30pm ET: No. 2 UConn vs. No. 1 Stanford

As we get closer to crowning a champion, let's take a look at the odds to win the whole thing šŸ‘‡

  • No. 1 South Carolina: -125 (bet $125, win $100)

  • No. 2 UConn: +280 (bet $100, win $280)

  • No. 1 Stanford: +320

  • No. 1 Louisville: +850

Louisville vs. South Carolina

The Gamecocks were expected to be in the Final Four this year, and while Louisville lost in the 2021 Elite Eight to eventual champion Stanford, few expected them to return as a No. 1 seed. However, the Cardinals have won three of their four tournament games by double digits šŸ‘€

  • Spread: South Carolina -8

  • Moneyline: Louisville +300, South Carolina -400

  • Over/Under: 119.5

Hailey Van Lith's performance for Louisville will determine if the Cardinals can take down the tournament favorites šŸ‘‡

  • Van Lith has dropped 20+ points in four straight tournament games, becoming the first Louisville player to accomplish that feat ā™Øļø

For South Carolina, they've relied on two things this season...their defense and Aliyah Boston

  • The Gamecocks lead the country in opponents' field goal percentage, and they've given up just 41.3 PPG in four tournament games

  • As for the Player of the Year Aliyah Boston, she's averaging 16.8 PPG and 14.3 RPG in this tournament. The only time South Carolina was challenged was in the Sweet 16 vs. UNC, where Boston put up 28 points and 22 rebounds šŸ’Ŗ

Unfortunately for the Cardinals, they've been out-rebounded in the last three games, and now they'll be facing 6'5" Aliyah Boston. I believe the Gamecocks will march their way to the Finals, exactly as planned since the start of the season 😤

UConn vs. Stanford

Defending champion Stanford has a date with the scariest No. 2 seed they'll ever face in UConn. Although the Cardinal are riding a 24-game win streak, the Huskies are making their 14th straight Final Four appearance. You know you're in for a game when the lines are this close šŸ‘‡

  • Spread: Stanford -1

  • Moneyline: UConn -105, Stanford -115

  • Over/Under: 129

This 2021-22 run by UConn has to feel great, considering eight players have missed at least two games this season due to injury or illness

  • Paige Bueckers looked like her old self in the Huskies' double-overtime thriller vs. No. 1 NC State in the Elite Eight. She had 27 points, 15 of which came in overtime

  • The Final Four crowd will surely be in favor of Bueckers, the Minnesota native. They even put up a mural of her in Mall of America ahead of Friday's game šŸ’Æ

Don't forget about the Cardinal though, they're oozing with confidence and experience, returning four starters from their national championship team last season

  • Haley Jones, the Most Outstanding Player in the 2021 Final Four, has turned it on in the last two games, recording back-to-back double-doubles

  • Stanford's offense doesn't end with Jones, as Cameron Brink has scored in double figures in all four tournament games

Stanford's size and experience might be too overwhelming for the Huskies, allowing the Cardinal to sneak by the most storied program in women's basketball history. This game should be epic šŸ™

For My Parlay Gurus

No. 1 seeds in the Final Four of the women's tournament is nothing new, and three will be on display in Friday night's matchups. To be honest, I don't foresee South Carolina, who was the AP Preseason No. 1 team, heading home. As for UConn, they've lost their last four Final Four games, so I'm going with Stanford. Check it out šŸ‘‡

  • No. 1 South Carolina -8 vs. No. 1 Louisville: -110

  • No. 1 Stanford -1 vs. No. 2 UConn: -110
