State Farm Champions Classic

College Basketball is back, and tonight we have a few big games to pay attention too. The headline matchup is obviously Michigan State vs. Duke in Chicago at the State Farm Champions Classic, and if this game had taken place last week, it would have been the first Top-5 showdown of the season. Unfortunately MSU lost their opener vs. James Madison, and Duke fell to Arizona at home 💀

Still, should be a fun one. The Week 2 AP Poll dropped yesterday, and the Wildcats were rewarded with their big road win, jumping up 9 spots all the way to No. 3. Other big risers were Gonzaga going from unranked to No. 11, and Kentucky making their poll debut at No. 17. Take a look 👇

Kyle Filipowski is the man to watch in tonight’s matchup vs. the Spartans - he’s started out hot after bailing on the NBA draft, averaging 25 PPG. For MSU, pretty much no one has scored besides Tyson Walker, who is also averaging 25 PPG. Outside of their PG, five players are scoring between 6.5-8.5 PPG 😳

  • Spread: Duke -3.5

  • Moneyline: Duke -156, MSU +130

  • O/U: 141.5

  • When: 7PM EST on ESPN

Next up is No. 4 Marquette vs. No. 23 Illinois, with Tyler Kolek being the guy to watch, as one of the top players in the country is a game-time-decision. Hopefully he can suit up and give us the head-to-head matchup with Illinois' Terrance Shannon we’re all excited to see. Don’t sleep on Marquette even if Kolek can’t go, they beat UConn twice last season 👀

Our third game to watch of the night is No. 1 Kansas vs. No. 17 Kentucky - also in Chicago at the State Farm tournament. OTE’s very own Rob Dillingham comes off the bench and is second in scoring for the Wildcats, joining one of the nation’s best backcourts of Antonio Reeves and D.J Wagner 🔥

The Jayhawks have played two games, winning both by 30+ points. Hunter Dickinson is their leading scorer at 19.5 PPG, but Bill Self has himself multiple scoring options with Kevin McCullar and KJ Adams. This is a deep and experienced Kansas team who is deserving of the +1100 National Championship odds 💰

  • Spread: Kansas -5.5

  • Moneyline: Kansas -230, Kentucky +188

  • O/U: 147.5

  • When: 9:30PM on ESPN
