Cowboys @ Giants...O/U 39.5 😳

The rivalry between the Cowboys and Giants is one of the oldest and most storied in NFL history, but tonight's has the lowest O/U line of the week. Will we see any offense? 🏈 (4 min read)

Historic Rivalry, New Faces

Two longtime division rivals will face off tonight, with the Cowboys traveling to East Rutherford to take on the UNDEFEATED Giants. Each of these teams has enjoyed some impressive moments in this young season, but so far it seems like the NFC East runs through Philadelphia. Nonetheless, the NFC is wide open, and both the Cowboys and Giants have shown flashes of potential 📸

  • Dallas is still without franchise QB Dak Prescott and likely won't have him back before Week 6

  • However, backup QB Cooper Rush is now 2-0 in his career after an unexpected Week 2 win vs. the Bengals 🔥

The Giants came into this year looking to install a new culture under former Bills OC and new HC Brian Daboll, and the results have looked good so far. QB Daniel Jones has performed more efficiently than ever, and the true engine of the offense has been the resurgent Saquon Barkley 💪

An Early Season Rundown

Most would have penciled in the Cowboys to look like the more menacing team, but the Giants have been more impressive thus far. Daboll has the team playing with a little more juice, as they've defied all expectations to start the season 2-0. These wins have come largely behind Barkley's return to star status ⭐️

  • In Barkley's 2018 ROY and Pro-Bowl season he topped 2000 total scrimmage yards with 15 total TDs, putting the entire league on watch

  • Since then, injuries have been a problem. He played most of last season, but didn't look like the same explosive athlete. It's safe to say he has burst back, with 282 scrimmage yards in his first two games 👇

The Cowboys looked good last year in divisional games, actually sweeping the NFC East for the first time since 1998. However, Dallas appeared bound for regression when it lost some key contributors in the offseason, namely DE Randy Gregory and WR Amari Cooper, who was traded to the Browns for a fifth round pick (not looking like a good trade) 😬

The Cowboys felt CeeDee Lamb was the ready to become their top WR, but the results have been underwhelming so far. The controversial trade, along with injuries to Prescott and top LT Tyron Smith, have depleted Dallas' roster. Regardless, they can always rely on the game-changing presence of OL Micah Parsons on defense 😤

All things considered, Vegas is really not expecting many points tonight. The 39.5 O/U is the lowest of the week, a point lower than the Texans vs. Bears (over 40 hit) and Saints vs. Panthers (under 41 hit) games. Unders are boring though...give me some points 🏈

Trivia Question: Which team is leading the all-time series between the Cowboys and Giants?

For My Parlay Gurus

Vegas clearly sees this one as a relative toss-up, given the nearly even spread, and I must say I agree. I like the Cowboys pulling out a tight win on the road behind the surprisingly competent play of Cooper Rush, and more defensive dominance from Micah Parsons. However, I think Barkley continues his elite play in the loss, so I'm pairing that bet with his individual rushing yards over 👇

  • Cowboys +1 @ Giants: -110

  • Saquon Barkley OVER 77.5 rushing yards: -113

$100 on this bet would win you $260 — if we hit, make sure you email [email protected] for a chance to win up to $100*. Many will enter, only some will win 😉
