⛳️ Complete 2024 Masters Preview
A tradition unlike any other takes place this week as we return to Augusta Georgia with 89 golfers taking the course for their chance at history. Tee off starts tomorrow morning, here's everything you need to know heading into the weekend 🏌️ (3 min read)
The 2024 Masters
For most fans, the golf season officially begins in April, as the best in the world take the drive down Magnolia Lane and tee it up at Augusta National for The Masters. The past two years have led to even more eyes than usual on this tradition due to the never ending LIV vs PGA Tour saga. The four majors are the only time to find all of the best players from every tour competing against one-another. Storylines are a plenty as we lead up to Thursday morning 👇
Course Info: Augusta National is a par-72 stretching to just over 7,500 yards, making it one of the longest on tour
Defending champion: Jon Rahm at -12
The saying goes “the tournament doesn’t start until the back nine on Sunday.” The finishing nine holes offer two reachable par-5s, a short par-3, and the dramatic 12th hole. Collectively, this stretch leads to chaos, excitement, and an ever-changing leaderboard

As mentioned prior, the four majors bring together golfers from both LIV and the PGA Tour. Even with this addition, World #1 Scottie Scheffler still leads the way on the odds sheet heading into the week 💰
The Masters Outright Winner Odds (subject to change)
Scottie Scheffler: +450
Rory McIlroy: +1100
Jon Rahm: +1100
Xander Schauffele: +1400
Brooks Koepka: +2000
Hideki Matsuyama: +2000
Jordan Speith: +2200
Storylines to Watch
Scottie Scheffler has started this season on a run that the golf world hasn’t seen since the peak of Tiger Woods. In eight starts this year, he has finished in the top-5 six times. This was capped off by becoming the first golf to ever successfully defend The Players Championship. It’s been quite some time since we have seen a Masters favorite with as low odds as +450, but maybe the 2022 champ is ready to put on his second green jacket
Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele are grouped together for rounds 1 and 2 of #TheMasters
They rank 1st (Scottie -62), 3rd (McIlroy, -38) and 4th (Schauffele, -24) in cumulative score to par at the majors since 2020.

It has become very publicized that Rory McIlroy needs to win the green jacket in order to complete the career grand slam (winning all four major titles). Since his collapse back in 2011, the pressure has mounted a little more every time he tees it up at Augusta. Although he missed the cut last year, the world’s #2 ranked golfer does have seven top-10 finishes at this event, and a win this week would be popular for golf fans all over the world
Tiger Woods sounds pretty convinced that Rory McIlroy will win the Masters someday.
"No question, he'll do it...He'll get it done."

It’s a rare occurrence that the golf world gets to see Tiger compete, but whenever he is on the course it still tends to be the biggest story around. Injuries have caused him to enter the twilight of his career, but we are still only a handful of years removed from his shocking victory in 2019 when he claimed his record setting fifth green jacket. With odds of +20000, there could be worse ways to spend $1 with hopes of winning $200 👀
The return to glory.
@TigerWoods’ 2019 Masters victory is unforgettable.

Trivia Question: Which former Masters champion shocked the golf world with a surprising runners-up finish at last year’s event?
Favorite Outright Bets
While the favorites may jump off the page, we're going to dive deeper down the board to try to find some value picks that could vault their way into contention this weekend 💰
Hideki Matsuyama (+2000)
The 2021 Masters champ enters the week in great form. He’s finished in the top-12 in his past four starts, including a victory at Riviera Country Club, which many consider to be the most similar course to Augusta National that the golfers face all year 🕵️

Wyndham Clark (+4000)
While it may be difficult to win the Masters in your first try, but it just can’t be ignored how well Clark performs when the lights are the brightest. This was on display at last year’s US Open when Clark ran away with the title. It may be a stretch for him to win, but with how he shows up for premier events, odds of +115 to finish inside the top-30 seems like a solid play
Sahith Theegala (+5500)
Since the debut of the Netflix show “Full Swing”, Theegala has become a bit of a household name. He is one of the more likable guys on tour, but also has the strong game to back it up. With three top-10 finishes in his last five starts, Sahith seems poised to make a run at a major soon. Why not start at the event where he finished 9th last year 📈
The correlation of course history at Augusta remains the highest on Tour by a near 2x margin any other regular Tour course.
Over the last 3 years, only Sahith Theegala & Will Zalatoris have finished top-10 as a debutant.
