🏈 Colorado Is +21 This Weekend

The best show on turf is officially Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. You can't ask for a better start to a new regime, but this weekend they travel to Oregon for easily their toughest test to date. The O/U is set at 70.5, and you know we're backing points. Let's dive in 🦬 (2 min read)

Colorado Football

We’re officially three weeks into the College Football season, and I think we’re all on the same page in that Colorado has been the biggest storyline of the young season. For some context, the Buffaloes had major success in the 90s, finishing with over 8 wins from 1989 to 1996 while being a part of the Big 8 and Big 12, and even winning a National Championship in 1990 over Notre Dame 🦬

Since joining the Pac-12 in 2011, it’s been a different story. With only one 10 win season in the past 21 years, what Coach Prime has been able to do in one offseason is borderline miraculous. Over 85 new players and a serious Heisman candidate in Shedeur Sanders (odds as low as +1200), Colorado football has officially become must-watch TV 📺

Sadly for the Pac-12, this is their last hoorah, with pretty much half of the teams leaving next season. Tough timing considering the most recent AP Poll, where eight Pac-12 teams are ranked in the Top-25 👇

The conference has positioned itself to have their second team make the CFP (Washington in 2016), unless all of these ranked teams eat each other up. With several undefeated squads left, take a look at just how hard it will be for Colorado to run the table 😏

This weekend is Sanders’ first “real” test, as they travel to Eugene to face off against Bo Nix and the No. 10 Oregon Ducks. For a game between two ranked teams, this spread is rather large. Travis Hunter’s injury doesn’t help and it’ll suck to see him on the sidelines - this kid is as cool as they come 👏

I have a feeling most of the country and all TV networks will be rooting for Colorado to keep winning, just look at these viewership numbers. Easily the most watched team on the West Coast. As a Deion Sanders fan, I’m definitely taking the Buffs with the points on Saturday 💵

  • Spread: Oregon -21

  • Moneyline: Oregon -1050, Colorado +660

  • O/U: 70.5

  • When: 3:30PM EST on ABC

Trivia Question: Who led Colorado in rushing yards during their 1990 Championship season?

For My Parlay Gurus

I already said I like the Buffs +21, so let’s skip that in our parlay. Primetime Pac-12 games are meant to be shootouts, and an O/U of 70.5 definitely predicts points. Unders are boring so obviously we’re riding Shedeur and Bo to sling it. I also am an Oregon State fan, but I have to take Washington State as home dogs. Check it out 👇

  • Colorado @ Oregon OVER 70.5 Total Points: -110

  • Washington State +2.5 vs. Oregon State: +100
