Brady Has Lost 4 Of His Last 5 Games 😬

Lamar Jackson and Tom Brady face off tonight in what looks to be a real-time passing of the torch moment. The Bucs have struggled over the last few weeks, can Brady snap them out of it? 🏈 (4 min read)

The NFL Is Changing

Tom Brady has seen better days β€” his Buccaneers have lost four of their last five games, including losses to the lowly Steelers and Panthers, and his personal life is a constant subject for dissection across the sports media ecosystem. Regardless of how things are at home, Brady is off to one of his slower starts statistically as well, only throwing for multiple touchdowns one time so far this season. For context, the future GOAT led the league in touchdown passes last season, ripping off 43 on the year πŸ€”

As Brady fades into the twilight of his career, things are just getting started for Lamar Jackson, who will be visiting Raymond James stadium in an attempt to hand Tampa Bay their third consecutive loss πŸ‘€

While Jackson has been less effective throwing the ball this year compared to last season, having only thrown for over 200 yards twice, he is still a menace on the ground, averaging 72.9 rushing yards per game 🏎

πŸ“ Props To Consider (subject to change)

  • Lamar Jackson over 62.5 rushing yards: -113

  • Lamar Jackson any time TD scorer: +195

If you believe in Jackson's ability as a dual-threat, both of the above player props are worth considering πŸ’°

Building Momentum

The Ravens are still trying to find the magic they were able to capture throughout the 2019-2020 regular season, where they led the NFL in offensive output (33.2 PPG) behind a formidable running game (206 RYPG) en route to a 14-2 record 🏈

Since that campaign, Baltimore has somewhat disappointed πŸ‘‡

  • 11-5 in the 2020-21 season, losing in the divisional playoff to the Bills

  • 8-9 in the 2021-22 season, failing to make the playoffs

Entering tonight's matchup, Lamar Jackson and co have failed to string together consecutive dubs this season. After dispatching the Browns last Sunday, 23-20, will they manage to break the trend?

Offense is usually easy to come by when Brady is at the helm, but the Buccaneers rank 26th in the league, notching 17.7 PPG. In their last three games alone, Tampa Bay's offense has only managed to put up 21 (vs. Atlanta), 18 (vs. Pittsburgh) and then 3 (vs. Carolina) total points 😬

For that reason alone I'm leaning towards the under, especially considering the Bucs have been solid defensively, limiting opponents to...17.7 PPG, which ranks 5th

  • Spread: Bucs -1.5

  • Moneyline: Bucs -130 (bet $130 to win $100), Ravens +110 (bet $100, win $110)

  • Over/Under: 45.5

Trivia question: How has Tampa Bay performed against the spread in their last five outings?

For My Parlay Gurus

As mentioned earlier, I'm expecting an underwhelming number of points, with the Bucs staunch defense trying to limit Jackson for a much needed win. Give me the under thanks to my faith in the Ravens' play caller, and throwing in an anytime TD for Jackson as well πŸ‘‡

  • Lamar Jackson Anytime TD Scorer: +195

  • Ravens vs. Bucs U 45.5 total points: -110

$100 on this bet would win you $463 β€” if we hit, make sure you email [email protected] for a chance to win up to $100*. Many will enter, only some will win πŸ˜‰
