Big Game For The AFC Playoff Picture 🐆
After a big win vs. the Cowboys, Jacksonville now controls their own destiny in the postseason race. The Jets are in a must-win mode as well, and Zach Wilson is set to make his second straight start. Who ya got tonight in one of the final TNF showdowns of the year? 🏈 (3 min read)

Watch Out For The Jags
Remember the Urban Meyer era in Jacksonville? Good times! After the well-documented tumultuous whirlwind of the 2021 season, things really could have only gone up this year in Duval County. Now, this young Jags’ team is currently in the midst of a surprising playoff push few could’ve seen coming just a month ago 😳
The thought of Calvin Ridley being added to this Jaguars offense with Trevor Lawrence next season should scare everyone.

When the Jaguars hit their bye back in Week 11, they’re were 3-7 and 3.5 games behind the AFC South-leading Titans, with just a minuscule 3% chance of reaching the playoffs
But since the week off, a red-hot Trevor Lawrence has led Jacksonville to three wins in their last four games, and perhaps none of those wins was bigger than last Sunday's victory over the Cowboys
A Dallas field goal gave the ‘Boys a 17-point lead with just over five minutes left in the 3Q, and the game then proceeded to turn into utter chaos. The Jags rallied back to force OT, and capped off the comeback with a walk-off winner (maybe not as wild as the one in New England, but still pretty nuts) ⬇️

The 3-1 stretch, coupled with a midseason collapse in Tennessee, has the Jaguars just a game behind the Titans atop the South with three weeks to play, and their chances of reaching the postseason (and hosting a first round game) has skyrocketed to 43% 👀
Because they end their season against the Titans, the Jaguars control their own destiny, but there’s little margin for error. The same holds true for their opponent tonight, the New York Jets, who have playoff aspirations of their own. Here’s how the lines are looking for the crucial TNF matchup going down tonight at MetLife Stadium ⬇️
Jaguars vs. Jets Betting Preview (subject to change)
Spread: Jets -1.5
Moneyline: Jets -118 (bet $118, win $100), Jaguars +100 (bet $100, win $100)
Over/Under: 37.5
Despite the Jaguars’ hot streak, they’re still dogs on the road tonight, and that’s largely due to the dominant New York defense. Jacksonville may be averaging 38 PPG over the past two weeks, but tonight’s over/under is still just one point off the lowest of the entire season 🤯
Trivia Question: When was the last time the Jets made the playoffs?

#1 vs. #2
It’s crazy to think that these two teams had the top two picks in the draft less than two years ago, and now both are on the cusp of postseason football. You likely don’t need a reminder that both took a QB with their selection, and the two sophomore signal-callers have had wildly different 2022 seasons
It was a rookie season full of growing pains for #1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence last year, and while there were flashes of his upside, that inconsistency reared its ugly head once again through the first half of this campaign
But lately, something has clicked, and Lawrence is all of a sudden playing like one of the best QBs in the NFL👇
Trevor Lawrence since Wk 9 (among QBs with 6+ starts w/ NFL rank):

Perhaps best of all for the Jacksonville offense is that he’s put up these numbers while spreading the ball around; Zay Jones (three TDs last week 😳), Christian Kirk, Evan Engram and even Marvin Jones have all had their moments in the spotlight recently
Whereas Lawrence has begun to emerge as the superstar he was expected to be, Wilson has struggled to seize the starting gig for Gang Green. In fact, he’d likely be headed for bench duty if Mike White were healthy this week 😬
But while it ended in a hard-fought defeat, Wilson's return to the starting lineup last week resulted in his strongest performance of the season. There were missed throws for sure, but also plays that show you what the Jets envisioned when they spent the second overall pick on him 👇

If Wilson wants to keep improving, he'd be wise to get the ball into Garrett Wilson’s hands early and often. The ROY favorite is no stranger to highlight catches and is absolutely electric after the catch; one way or another I like him to finish with over 57.5 receiving yards tonight 🔨

For My Parlay Gurus
The Jets' vaunted defense may be able to slow him down a bit, but the way Trevor Lawrence has been playing recently, I'm not sure they'll be able to contain him all game long. I like the Jaguars to stay hot and come out on top in a close one, but I think Garrett Wilson does his part on the other side. Check out this parlay 👇
Jaguars ML vs. Jets: +100
Garrett Wilson Over 57.5 Receiving Yards: -113
