Last season, Miami finished fourth in a rather weak ACC. Yes, Duke and UNC ended up in the Final Four, but North Carolina was an eight seed that got hot at the right time. Heading into the ACC tournament, the Canes were a bubble team who potentially needed a few wins 🌪

The Canes proceeded to go off, upsetting No. 7 USC, No. 2 Auburn and No. 11 Iowa State before losing to the eventually National Champions (Kansas) in the Elite Eight. Returning most of their key players, specifically Isaiah Wong and Jordan Miller, Miami is off to a fantastic start to the season and is very underrated at No. 22 with a 11-1 record 👀

Tonight, the Canes take on ACC powerhouse Virginia at home in what should be a great game with an insane atmosphere. Best conference matchup of the young season 🍿

After winning the 2019 NCAAM tournament, Virginia lost a ton of talent to the NBA. In the 2020 Covid season (when March Madness didn't happen) they were a six seed, but then failed to make it to the Big Dance last year. Remember this play? Feels so long ago but notice the man who made the pass 👇

Fast forward three years, and Kihei Clark is still the man that makes it happen for the Cavaliers. He's averaging the most MPG on the team at 33, and his 5.3 APG spreads the ball to a very balanced starting lineup. All five players score between 11.8-9.3 PPG, and they only turn the ball over nine times a game, which currently ranks fifth in the country 👏

Virginia is coming off their first loss of the season to No. 3 Houston, putting them at 8-1 on the year. Forward Reece Beekman has been banged up, but if he's given the green light he'll surely be tasked with guarding Isaiah Wong, who leads the Canes in scoring at 16.7 PPG.
