Battle Out West

With major conference restructuring on the horizon, the future of PAC-12 football may be a bit cloudy, but for West Coast fans at least the present continues to be bright 🌟

  • The four ranked PAC-12 teams all emerged victorious in their Week 4 matchups, and each now checks in as a Top-15 team in the nation according to the latest AP Poll

  • But while #6 USC, #12 Utah, and #13 Oregon all entered the season with high expectations, #15 Washington has been one of the nation's biggest early surprises

  • Picked to finish just sixth in the conference in the preseason media poll, the Huskies have gotten off to a 4-0 start, highlighted by a blowout win over #11 Michigan State on September 17th

First year head coach Kalen DeBoer's crew followed up that statement victory by cruising past Stanford in their conference opener last weekend, but tonight's Pac-12 opponent should put up more of a fight. Check out how the lines are looking for tonight's showdown in Los Angeles 🌹

  • Spread: Washington -2.5

  • Moneyline: Washington -146 (bet $146, win $100), UCLA +122 (bet $100, win $122)

  • O/U: 64.5 Total Points

Despite a lack of love in the rankings, the Bruins have gotten off to a great start themselves, but their recent track record in big games leaves a lot to be desired 👇

While Chip Kelly's squad has taken care of business so far this season, the Huskies' offense is a beast unlike any they've faced yet 😬

  • Take the Bruins' undefeated record comes with a grain of salt — they've played the fourth-easiest schedule in the country through four weeks

  • Meanwhile, the Washington offense, led by junior QB Michael Penix Jr., ranks fifth in the nation in total offense (530.8 YPG) and 12th in scoring (44 PPG)

  • A grad transfer from Indiana, Penix Jr. currently leads the nation in passing yards to go along with 12 TDs and just 1 INT, and his Heisman stock (+4500) continues to rise 📈

Sorry UCLA fans; simply put, this ain't Alabama State or Bowling Green anymore. Factor in that the Rose Bowl is looking a little desperate to fill seats, and I'm all in on the Huskies tonight 😎

Trivia Question: Who was the last Washington player to be a Top-10 pick in the NFL Draft?

More Friday Night Action

Washington may be the lone ranked team taking the field today, but that doesn't mean there aren't other intriguing matchups on the docket to get your weekend started off on the right foot 👇

  • Spread: Houston -2.5

  • Moneyline: Houston -144, Tulane +120

  • O/U: 54.5 Total Points

After opening the season as a Top-25 team, Houston has limped to a 2-2 start, already equalling their losses from last season 😬

  • The Cougars remain a popular pick to come out on top in a wide-open AAC, and tonight's matchup against one of the conference's upstart contenders should be telling

  • Tulane was expected to be much improved this season following a 2-10 record last year, and they've already surpassed that win total

The Green Wave suffered their first defeat last week, but their defense has been impressive all season long, allowing just 11.75 PPG. Let's see how that holds up against the Cougars tonight 👀

  • Spread: San Diego State -6.5

  • Moneyline: San Diego State -255, Boise State +205

  • O/U: 38.5 Total Points

Who doesn't love some Mountain West football? Especially on Boise State's iconic blue field, where the Broncos will be turning to a new man at quarterback 👀

  • Fourth-year starter Hank Bachmeier announced his decision to transfer immediately, leaving the unproven redshirt freshman Taylen Green as Boise State's starter

With the Broncos' QB uncertainty and the Aztecs averaging just 12 PPG over their last two, it's no wonder why oddsmakers aren't expecting very many points tonight 😬
