🏀 2021 Finals Rematch, But Different
The Suns are enjoying their hottest stretch of hoops now that the big three has been able to play together for an extended stretch. Meanwhile, the Bucks have been floundering despite a mid-season coaching change and will look to right the ship in tonight's nationally televised game. Expect a lot of points 🏹 (2 min read)
NBA Finals Rematch
Trade season is upon us, and the deadline is approaching fast. Come Thursday the landscape of the NBA could look completely different, as teams try to navigate selling, buying, re-building, and going all in, with everything in between 🏆
Will the Lakers, steeped in annual rumors, which is usually the case for a LeBron-led team, actually make one of their rumored moves?
What about teams like the Celtics and Clippers that are clearly pushing in all the chips this year?
However things shake out, it’s safe to say people will have push notifications on for Shams and Woj — but why don’t we check in on Giannis and the Bucks, who have gone 1-3 since hiring Doc Rivers

Despite a monster performance as is typical for the Freak — 33 pts, 7 rebs, and 13 asts on 11-15 shooting — Milwaukee lost a game they were leading for most of the contest, getting outscored 40-13 in the final period. The game also had its share of flaring tensions 👀

Even though the Jazz are surging right now, the Bucks will face a different test tonight against a Phoenix squad that is similarly hot. It looks like the big three of KD, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, is finally coming together. The Suns are 10-3 over their last 13, and sport the third highest offensive rating in the league over that period (124.3 PPG) 🔥

In general, offense will not be hard to come by in tonight’s match-up between the 2021 Finals participants. Both iterations of those teams are long gone however, and rather than a balanced attack (they were capable of playing defense), these current versions focus on scoring 🏹

Booker 62 points vs Pacers
KD 43 points vs Bulls
Beal 43 points vs WizardsTop __ trio this season.

Considering this game is in Phoenix, I give them the slight edge tonight, and while their defense isn’t good, it’s still better than the situation in Milwaukee. A lot has been made about Lillard’s lack of perimeter defense, which is true, but he still packs a lot of firepower for this Bucks team (not counting Sunday’s 12 pt outing) 🤧
Dame should be able to activate the hour glass against a Suns team that relies on a team scheme to make things a little harder on perimeter threats
On the other hand, I expect Devin Booker to fry a thin selection of Bucks defenders. A player prop with Book going for 40+ could be intriguing, especially given the nightly offensive outings this season

Trivia Question: How many games did the Brooklyn Nets Big Three play compared to the Phoenix Suns Big Three?
For My Parlay Gurus
This game is bound to be a track meet so I like the over. As far as game results go, I like the Suns in this one given the way they’ve played together recently. It’s going to get a little worse in Milwaukee before it gets better 👇
Suns -3.5 vs. Bucks: -114
Over 243.5 Total Points: -110
